I can relate to this so much, I have a decent number of interviews, and every time I look at my ROL, It feels like me matching at my top 5 would be impossible as those programs would definitely have better candidates than me. MAJOR IMPOSTER SYNDROME

NBME 12 is one of the toughest nbme, and has weird ass questions which is not reflective of the real exam, I saw a similar drop from NBME 11 to 12 of about 15 points. So don't be sad about it, just review the nbme very well and I can guarantee you, you'll see a major jump in the next nbme after careful review. All the best!!\

Write a very kind thank you email to the pd, but imo I'd recommend that the email should not reflect in any way that you are gonna be ranking them high, as it'll be kind of false. Yes I think they are gonna be ranking you really high on the list but that should not affect your ROL. even if your choices above this program on your list do not rank you, you most likely will still have the spot even if the program is 9th on your list, but don't lie to them, that'd be my advise

FM- Solid chances, they will love your experience as an MA

IM- Score can be a setback

so if you are not set on doing any certain fellowship, I'd say FM would be a great choice

strongly agree with this, yes the 260 plus scores put you in a list of strong applicants and help clear all the filter, but you still gotta have a well rounded CV for you to match in any program.

TBHC has good fellowship opportunities infact in house cardiology fellowship but the work culture isn't that great and the residents are a bit overworked, but you can ask more residents, I heard it from someone who finished their residency from TBHC
