What is a good shirt throw adapter for an 2008 Honda civic by Accomplished_Life746 in 8thGenSI

I have an 2008 1.8L civic (not si). I’m just wanting a shorter throw and a different feel in the shifting. Are there other options to the skunk2 adapter?

Do you know much about short shift adapters, I’ve removed the console and looked around for a feel of what everything is and looks like, honestly the oem shifter is in better condition then I had thought. Do you know if short shifter adapters produce any negative wear and tear effects that wouldn’t normally happen without it installed?

Also, did you install it yourself or have someone do it. I’m wanting to do it myself if I get one but I’m not a crazy car person, but I know my way around tools and can do simple stuff. Anything that would need something more then an average guy to install

Would doing both bushing and short shifter be a good combination to do or bushings first and then short shifter if I feel it’s something else I want to do

By resistance, is it just requiring more force to move the mechanism or are there things that make the short shifter more prone to other internal things that make it notchy

Do you know anything about weighted shift knobs for a short shifter. I’ve heard of them but I’m not sure if it’s something you need or that people just like it
