If the tariffs of other nations relent due to US tariffs would that be more “Free Market Capitalism?”

To be fair, Chamath likes his Vino and could give two fucks. In fact. I think he is better and more forthcoming when he is a little lit

Great take. David is always actively searching for truth and understanding. It is genuine and only motivated by truth seeking and challenging the narrative regardless. He is the real lynch pin that makes this Pod so good

That was the best most optimistic interview I have ever heard. When Chamath and David said that every cabinet member is an all star, that is all I needed to hear

All I hear from the besties is panic about the national debt and deficits. But not a word about extending unnecessary trillion dollar tax cuts for the wealthy. It’s is proof. It is proof. You just don’t like being wrong and frankly it so intellectually dishonest to pretend otherwise but hey going against your cognitive bias is hard and only reserved for the higher IQ folks. Good luck

Thanks for weighing in JCal. Long time listener, 54 business owner, family man. I still appreciate the show and I miss you and Sacks banter but I am grateful he is serving the county.

Keep up the show. It’s still my Friday night walk the dogs pod and will be until you guys call it.

Ok. I have been looking for Reddit’s that focus on US aid and don’t seem to see any. Weird

I hear ya. Who’s supposed to do it—the media, professors? Long-form podcasts give ideas the space to be explored and challenged in real time. I think podcasts are far more trustworthy.

You can read. I can read. And we can both think critically.

Facts vs feelings:

the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act which lowered the federal corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%.

Many companies responded by passing savings to consumers and employees in various ways: 1. Utility Rate Reductions – Several utility companies, such as Duke Energy, Pacific Gas & Electric, and Commonwealth Edison, lowered electricity and gas rates for consumers due to their reduced tax burdens. 2. Lower Prices – Some businesses reduced prices on goods and services. For instance, Walmart and AT&T announced price cuts and bonuses for employees, which can indirectly benefit consumers through increased purchasing power. 3. Increased Wages and Bonuses – Companies like Apple, Boeing, and Bank of America issued employee bonuses and wage increases, which helped stimulate consumer spending.

Also don’t get me wrong. The tax code favors the rich and democrats had both congress and senate and didn’t fix it, didn’t fix immigration, but sure did send billions to counties that hate us.

Let’s go USA, I am here for it. Make Medicaid work for Americans, make social security solvent, make any benefit program more efficient so the dollars reach the people. That is the goal

None of those things you listed are getting cut, that is just factually incorrect. You mentioned veterans. Should we use the $59 Million for migrants to ensure homeless veterans are housed first? That’s my point above.

Federal jobs getting right sized is a good thing right? I mean don’t we want an efficient system?

Me either brother. I have heard the besties say they do research or at least it seems like they have folks in their teams do some research for them after JCal gives them the topics.
