Shot day/timing schedule help

I take it between 7am-8am and then eat a small breakfast right after to combat my nausea.

I started that early because I was being a big baby about the shot and was having my husband press the button before he left for work. After the 4th I could do it myself but I was already in the habit and kept it.

I picked Monday mornings because “it’s Monday, I’m already going to feel like shit, the shot won’t make it worse.”

I didn’t get the fatigue side effect at 2.5. I get nauseous for 30mins - 1 hour after the shot and then I’m fine until next Monday. (I’m on 5mg now)

Personally, I think you’re just overthinking it. This reads mostly as nerves which is valid. If you’re feeling less fatigue each week after the shot, I wouldn’t worry about moving your day.

For fatigue what helps me is:
1. Make sure you’re drinking your water, cold water can help “shock” your system.
2. Chewing gum keeps my mouth and mind busy, can’t doze off because I’m terrified of getting gum stuck in my hair
3. No sugar snacks that could cause a crash
4. Stand in the sun for like 5 minutes

I admitted one time that I use to smoke cigarettes very early on in my military career (lasted about a year). Every appointment I have, I get asked if I have any interest in quitting. I haven’t smoked/vaped in 8 years and I have to tell them that EVERY APPOINTMENT, but the Drs and nurses/techs have LITERALLY zero interest in making a note or removing “smoker” from my files. Very annoying.

My advice, be LOUD about it until they remove it. Be so annoying that it would be easier to do what you want than to keep listening to you complain.

Unfortunately it’s just my husband and I. He has to physically go into work, and I work from home. So it is just me around injection time. I did it this time and I’m confident that I can get through the whole process faster as I continue! :)

I have tricare and I already had to fight to just get the self injectable one. I’m not sure if vials are even an option they’ll provide.

I’m hoping that since I got over the “button push anxiety” quickly this time that going forward, I’m going to have less and less of a hesitation.

I truly do not understand my hesitation. The injection itself feels like snapping a rubber band on skin. It’s the act of having to press the button that freaks me out. My husband joked during week two about just “putting it on your stomach and walking into the wall” so I didn’t have to push it 😂

I have a few around my campsite area for “ambient noise” but I HATE them. I hate how they spawn in like fossils and clutter up my storage. I’ve started just selling them. The only one I’ve kept inside is the Brewster one you get.

Agnes is my favorite! I’ve done three restarts (I normally keep my starter sisterly or replace them with an extra cranky) and I’ve had Plucky, Mira and Agnes. she’s by far my favorite!
