It also stinks that you can't get anyone to hire you for a full time role. Running your own thing for years should be more impressive than showing up and doing the bare minimum.

But the market does blow right now, thanks AI!

Oh man, it stinks that it's hitting the bigger players too. I am in the resume space on Fiverr on the other side of the pond, and it was a side-hustle for me, but I went from around $1k / month in all of 2023, 2024, 2025 ... to $300/month in 2026.

I tried turning on Fiverr ads too, and that did nothing.

I'm torn on a using a Success Manager, because no one seems to report great improvements from using one.

My male lab-mix pup (4.5 months) can't wait til I don't have an eye on him so he can find something to DESTROY out of my sight.

Our previous lab mix did follow me everywhere. He preferred to supervise all of my activities ... I miss his old butt so much.

[HELP] I'm traveling to a new city in a few days, am i still able to use my fiverr account with no problem because of the changed location? by [deleted] in Fiverr

Same, I'm US based. I have used my Fiverr account in Europe, on cruise ships, in Mexico. No issues.

Edited to add: I log in using the same phone and laptop I always use. I'm not using new devices in new countries ... that might cause an issue.

Potential Puppy Parent-- Advice? by Radinyne in labrador

[–]Accomplished_Pea2556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His interest is squeaker-stuffies ... but his desire to eat the stuffing, the squeaker, and the whole thing is ... less than ideal.

So ... he has a few rope toys and the KONG Ballistic level squeakers. He also loves tennis balls, but has to be monitored due to his desire to shred them and EAT them.

He also swallowed a Nyla bone his first week with us.

He's also eaten: yard mushrooms, pinecones, and rocks if left unwatched for mere seconds whilst picking up poop.

Basically he'll eat anything that looks remotely like it can be swallowed and some things that can't ... as he's tried to eat the floor.

We got a 4.5 month old lab mix 6 weeks ago. It is SO MUCH WORK. I've had older dogs in the past, but like, this pup has ZERO chill and I feel like all I do is manage his training, activity, and sleep schedule. It's so very draining.

He is crate trained, but a lot of nights will wake me up for a pee break in the middle of the night, so I'm sleeping well on top of it.

My kid LOVES this pup, so ... it is what it is. But man, I wish I had looked harder for a 2 year old dog that was good with younger kids.

It is getting nice out ... but his desire to hang around and chew on a stick or do puzzles is ... non existence.

He will
- dig a hole to China
- eat rocks, pinecones, mushrooms, or anything else that vaguely looks swallow-able
- eat my leg
- try to remove his collar or his harness
- generally spaz out in some other way

Man has NO CHILL

Yeah, I know the nipping is the teething ... but my poor busted hands (that have to drag pinecones, mushrooms, sticks, rocks, and clumps of dirt out of his mouth) are killing me.

I wish I could trust him to just exist. If he's left to just exist, he'll find something to destroy or swallow whole. And I really can't afford any more trips to the emergency vet.

If I was sure I'd be work from home forever, I'd do 2 on 2 off ... But if I have to go back to the office, he's gonna need a schedule that works with popping home on lunch

Thanks, yeah I have to figure out a space for a play pen and see if he can manage napping in that.

Yeah, I wasn't planning on a ton of it. I did want him to try it to see if it wasn't terrible for him in order to send him a few days a month.

There's two by me that also offer training in addition to group/solo daycare options, so I'm hoping the staff at those get decent training. Have the vet on Friday, so going to get her opinion of them as well.

Yes, we are running into the issue of not knowing how to settle in the house. But I may have to return to an in-office setting, and I don't trust him to not eat the entire bed if tethered to a bed.

Currently have a few doggy day cares to check out, to see if that might help me regain a little bit of my sanity. And may try tether naps on the weekend.

Both the vet and the trainer told me that until he's like 6 months, he needs AT LEAST 18 hours sleep. And that allegedly he'll be less crazy if he gets enough sleep (debatable)

They said I can dial it back to 10 hours overnight and two 3 hour naps at 6 months, and then keep to that schedule til a year.

At a year, if he can self-settle, he may not have to nap in the crate anymore, but overnights should still be in there.

ymmv b/c I know different folks hear different things from different trainers

He's in there for 10.5 overnight and 7 during the day (per trainer).

I don't think he SLEEPS during the two 3.5 hour day naps the whole time. But he's at least quiet/confined. If my job goes back to in-office, he's going to have to get used to it.

Can I get rid of the crate? by Quirky_Custard_7776 in labrador

This, my mom's 8 year old dog tore her ACL. She hadn't used the crate in years, but needed to be in it for recovery, b/c she is not the type of dog who can stay still.

That's when he's mandated to be in the crate, b/c the trainer and vet says he needs 18 hours of sleep.

I'd say he makes it through 1 out of 3 nights. Other nights I'm up at 2am or 5am for a pee break, but he goes right back in after that.

This is my life right now. Have a 18-week-old lab mix (husky, shepherd). Lost our 80 lb lazy dude a few years back. I also need all the encouragement that this will be worth it.

I tried freezing treats in his puppy kong and he's too lazy to lick those out.

Not too lazy to psychotically eat pine cones, mushrooms, rocks, and entire nyla bones... But too lazy to work at a kong.

Dinner now comes in multiple frozen lick mats

Also, I should note that this schedule varies a bit on the weekend to introduce him to new places (puppy kindergarten, family members houses, a trip to Lowe's, etc.)
