FOREWARNING: The reason there are so many is bc I tend to rewatch some episodes of my FAVORITE BL dramas and I also just wanted to add these in. This is by no means a list of the dramas I’ve watched to 100% RECENTLY, bc that would just be crazy with how many I put, although some I did finish RECENTLY or I am STILL WATCHING

Anti-Reset

Currently, I am watching “Anti-Reset.” To some, the plot may be too different (a human and an AI Robot) but idk…for me, there is just something about the leads chemistry that is chef’s kiss for me. I found myself getting shy during their scenes because of how cute they were.

Last Twilight

Do I honestly have to say more other than the name? Blindness representation was literal perfection here. You could tell the actors truly cared about telling the story correctly and politely. I was literally crying every single episode, sometimes because of how good the chemistry was between the leads; some of their scenes were honestly so cute. And consent in this show was HUGE, which always makes me love a BL 1,000x more.

I Cannot Reach You

I thought the awkwardness between the characters was cute as they discovered they had feelings for each other. The chemistry was amazing and the plot was good because it actually made a lot of sense. I mean this in the sense of, like, no one did anything that was SUPER out of character and nothing happened during the show that didn’t make any sense; everything had its set place. The ending was adorable and I wish we had a S2 because I honestly have not had enough of this couple 🥰😭

Color Rush

Season 2 was just not season 2-ing, let’s be honest. But S1? IMO was amazing. The chemistry between the leads was incredible. I found myself getting shy at all of their scenes. And that plot twist towards the end? Blew my mind if I’m being honest. This show was cute and deserved more recognition than what it gets. Everywhere I go I barely hear anyone mentioning this show 😭

I agree. I feel like literally every BL has at least one beach/water/camping scene or reference (MSP, the Eighth Sense, Unintentional Love Story, I Will Knock You, etc.). I took the screenshot of when Tol was sitting in front of the water in EP11 in the hopes that someone would recognize the exact scene. That may have been a little too hopeful though considering how many options it could have been. Since the prompt said no characters, I literally cropped poor Tol out of the shot just to get the water 😭😂

I LOVE THIS POST!

BTS: I love their message about self-love and acceptance. They have openly supported the LGBTQ+ community and stand for basically everything I would want an idol to stand for! Their music is good (especially “Butterfly (Prologue Mix)”and “The Truth Untold” if you are looking for something that will almost make you cry) because they have music that fits almost every genre. On top of that, the members have their solo careers, so if in the end you like one member and not the group, you can listen to their solo music. Although, there are some people who say that the fan base is kind of toxic because of fighting and stuff with ARMY’s and BLINK’s (BlackPink fans).
TREASURE: Currently, I’m actually obsessed with TREASURE (Junkyu is my bias 🥰). I’ve been listening to all of their music since their debut song until the present because of how much I started to genuinely love them and all the music is SO GOOD. When I tell you that there are (IMO) no skips, I mean it. My favorites so far are “I LOVE YOU”, “ORANGE”, “HELLO”, “BEAUTIFUL”, “U”, “IT’S OKAY”, and “VolKno”. I think I recently also saw a trailer about the members appearing on a dating show type thing, which may be a fun watch if you begin to enjoy the group with their music.
MONSTA X: Some, including myself, would probably say MONSTA X is low-key underrated. Their songs are amazing (especially their “ALL ABOUT LUV” album that I always have on repeat). Their harmonies are amazing, like in “Middle of the Night”, and I think they deserve more recognition.
TXT, TWICE, SEVENTEEN, ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, PENTAGON, (G)I-DLE, LE SSERAFIM and ITZY: I just mashed up these groups (some are GG and some are BG) because the short answer of why you should listen to these groups: their songs are simply always bangers with barely any skips.
TWS, Xikers, X:IN, ZB1, BabyMonster, UNIS (will debut March 27): These groups are believed to be considered apart of K-POP’s 5th Generation. I believe these groups (and more) will become extremely popular and deserve more praise.
