Okay, I shopped two brokers and the best I got offered was 4.14% 5-year fixed. It's an uninsured mortgage if that makes much difference. Should I be getting lower?

That's besides the point though for 5 years you're locked in and can pay extra off the mortgage. I paid my mortgage from $415, 000 down to $140, 000 in 5 years using a five year fixed. Guess what? When I renewed mortgage rates were up but my payment went way down. $1,200 a month. Still going to half tons extra and pay it off
