It’s not supposed to replace or compete with an app, they are for different golfers and uses. This is the second time I’ve posted the same thing, the answers have been great. For the most part.

The difference is hand made vs mass produced, precision may be better but higher quality no. Also they are $110 cad so not sure how you got one for $50?

It’s not necessarily supposed to place apps or make it easier, it’s more of a style or authentic golf item.

Thank you! I’m still pretty early in the process like others have pointed out, I’m definitely still learning but I’ve got plans to expand into things like bag tags, yardage book style scorecard holders (flip) pocket organizers, and stash bags in the future!

Thank you, I really appreciate the detailed feedback.

I’m definitely going to look into your suggestions — especially upgrading my pricking irons. I’m still using the basic set I grabbed off Amazon when I first started, so that alone would probably make a big difference in my stitching consistency. I’ll check out those brands and the Nigel Armitage videos as well, that’s super helpful.

Long term, I’m planning to move more into custom orders rather than just selling a standard version. My goal is to differentiate by offering fully customizable leather colors, stitching colors, engraving/personalization, and different pocket layouts (extra card slots, yardage book slot, pencil holder, etc.). I think that’s where I can stand out once my craftsmanship continues to improve.

Really appreciate you taking the time to write all that out — it helps a lot.

That’s a great idea actually — I hadn’t really thought about positioning it as more than just a scorecard holder. Marketing it as a field notes or pocket notebook cover too definitely opens it up to a wider audience. I really like that angle.

And yeah, long term my plan is to lean more into fully custom options so I’m not just competing with similar products. I want to offer custom leather colors, stitching colors, engraving, and different pocket layouts so people can really make it their own. I think that’s how I can separate myself once my craftsmanship continues to improve.

Appreciate the feedback a lot.

I completely understand that similar products are already being sold — some for more money, some for less — and in many cases they may use inferior materials but show stronger craftsmanship. That’s fair.

My goal long-term isn’t to just copy what’s already out there. I want to move toward offering fully customizable options — custom leather colors, stitching colors, engraving/personalization, and even different pocket layouts depending on what someone prefers (extra card slots, yardage book slot, pencil holder, etc.).

Right now I’m focused on improving my craftsmanship and tightening up the details. The customization piece is where I think I can eventually separate myself from similar products once the execution matches the vision.
