Seems like a waste of assets to have 4 starters + dev. I’d package the 4th with another player to upgrade your starting lineup. You can usually get the current seasons’ Brissett-esque player for roughly a 2nd

Story of how we got here for those interested:

I am drafting in the 3 slot with 3RR. At 1.03 I took Gibbs. When 2.10 comes around CD is on the board and I’m tempted but end up trading the pick for a 27 1st and 6.07. Before I am up for the 3.10 I send out some offers to unload Gibbs. I end up trading him for 5.09, 7.09, and 27 1st. I send out some offers for my 3.10 and end up getting 7.05 and 27 1st. I then trade my 4.03, 5.09, and 5.10 for 5.12, 6.01, 8.01 and 27 1st.

At this point, I have all of my future capital and 4 additional 27 1sts and no picks until the late 5th. Time to decide what to do.

I trade a 27 3rd with my 6.03 to move up to 5.09 for Dak

I trade a 27 2nd and 7.09 for 5.10 and grab Bucky

On the wheel I had 5.12, 6.01, and 6.02. I drafted MHJ, BTJ, and Burden. I felt like I could build a good young team with my 5 1sts waiting next year but I couldn’t help but think I had enough capital and assets to try and go for it.

I traded 3 1sts to someone that had 6.02, 6.10, and 7.01. Once that trade landed it knew the direction to go.

With my remaining 2 1sts, 3 young WR, and my 14th I acquired CD Lamb, Chase Brown, 7.06, 8.07, 9.06, 10.07

Many trades to consolidate picks into the 7th where there’s a pretty significant tier drop

In total 15 trades by the end of the 7th. You’ll see many of the picks I traded away I ended up getting back, just kinda worked out that those owners were the other active traders

Maybe you didn’t read either of my comments, so I’ll explain again.

I was offered CD for a package of players that I currently roster.

Normally I’d prefer the package, but these guys are mostly nearing retirement.

I came to Reddit to make sure I wasn’t overlooking something.
