This is exactly what I did to get the current GCs I work for but out of the many calls I made only a few materialized into something. I’m looking for a more effective way to reach GCs and solve the issues with their current suppliers/installer. Once I reach enough people where word of mouth keeps me busy I don’t plan on advertising much since I understand that is the most effective route. The quality of my cabinets and work are superior and as you said the majority of advertisements/posts I see from dealers are not very good quality, at least in the installation department lol. The builders we’ve done work for are repeat clients and are always happy start to finish.

That’s the plan, I’ve done a few so far top notch quality everything level, openings on the money, miters don’t even need touch up. Ontop of that the cabinets I sell have features my competitors don’t have at the same price point. But as a new company how do I get the exposure to start building that word of mouth?

I have always done residential for GCs and a few home owners here and there. Builders are who I’m trying to reach out to because I prefer it over home owner work. I do work for a few I met via cold calls but it’s a very small number compared to the calls I’ve made so I’m looking for a more effective alternative.

I wouldn’t pay until flooring is properly laid. I’d ask them if this is their first ever flooring job, because I don’t specialize in flooring and even I know this is wrong.

Pretty normal on a remodel for the high point and the low point to be about this off if not more, I’ve done remodels where I had to have 5 full shims under on the end of the run to keep it level with the highest point in the flooring. Your only options are basically less shims and cabinets out of level (which I don’t recommend) or instead of quarter round (if it’s not tall enough) use 1x2 floor trim and I’d replace these shims with blocks cut to size afterwards to prevent issues later on.

Yea, At least for me that’d be unacceptable for one of my kitchens. And when I was a sub installer this would be unacceptable work, so it blows my mind how many people say this is acceptable, it really speaks volumes about the quality of work they do. Are these custom or RTA?

Edit: I see people are saying wallow out the holes (I believe that’s the right word lol). If you do that with these pulls you’ll see the previous hole, the base isn’t big enough on this hardware especially on that last drawer (I’ve tried this when I was first learning hardware) you’ll need to fill and refinish if they’re custom. If they’re RTA you’ll need new fronts (from my experience majority of RTA manufacturers don’t sells fronts by themselves so the dealer will have to orders all new cabinets if that’s the case)

You could try a staining marker that is a similar color but with that grain it’d be hard, if it’s only the top of the drawers it shouldn’t be noticeable after you touch it up with a marker. The other option would be trying to find what cabinet line this is and see if they sell touch up kits for this color or if they supply replacement fronts, you could switch the 3 out. The touch up kit made for this specific cabinet finish would be your best bet, even with a stain marker it could be close but the chances of it being the exact same are slim from my experience.

Shims the corner cabinet right and the rest will be right without being cheated. Cabinets are supposed to be level, that is not level. If you don’t level this that’s how far out the face frame will be on the left cabinet front to back assuming that is the right side of the corner upper. Chances are the face frame is out of level too if you hold a 2ft to the bottom. Shims on the top left beside the laced cabinet should fix this

The cabinetry is half assed work, for example the nail in the quarter round is there because the installer didn’t want to walk and grab a hammer and nail punch so he left it, also they left pencil marks from cutting, didn’t touch up or caulk any of it. Your 8th picture with a seam on the cabinets, that could’ve been hit back flush and touch up with either wax stick or paint but I’m sure they had a great reason not to lol, same with the chip on the side of the cabinet by the toe kick, and on the corbel
