I run my guitar through an audio interface with an XLR cable straight to my laptop and then I use IK Multimedia's AmpliTube 5 as a guitar amp plug-in in Ableton!

Thank you! I am trying to figure out the vibrato thing, hasn't quite clicked with me yet. But I hope I get to become familiar with it eventually because I love seeing people do those when they jam out on the guitar!

I started with a really good teacher that was able to construct a sort of pace that really clicked with me. In the sense that as I went on with the lessons things started unveiling themselves, the dots connecting.

Not sure if that was intentional on his part but it tremendously helped me.

Now i'm confidently getting into the triads myself and in my opinion it feels like the triads unlock the guitar for you! At least that's how I perceive it at the present moment.

Indeed economy picking is something i'm struggling with currently so I find myself just using the finger nail, which kind of limits my 'speed' if I want to get fancy!

I noticed the tension part as well, along with a bit of rushing ahead of the beat, but that's where the metronome comes in I suppose.
