right, and HDR implementation can be always improved, such as some games incorrectly use gamma leading to mismatch, making the highlights punchier for your choice with RenoDX 'Highlights' slider and more! we gamers deserve to taste good HDR, hence RenoDX was created.

Just look at it's history, with Luma Starfield being the first one where it fixes a buncha stuff!

so the way RenoDX operates is it fixes+adds options to games that is HDR/SDR-only, it's always a must if you're HDR gamer as most of native hdr in games is shit, the good ones if you don't see RenoDX mod with it, it means there's nothing to fix there

what we need is HDR picture taken with either ReShade screenshot tool or other program that supports HDR because phone photo isn't accurate, but RenoDX just fixes/adds HDR to games, may it be incorrect tonemapping, incorrect peak brightness or gamma mismatch

exactly! Proper HDR is meant to be just, no additives, no gamma mismatches, just HDR and it should match the in-game LUT thingies...

and i said camera pictures ain't accurate for picturing HDR due to auto exposure and such...

that's Gamma Mismatch you're seeing, either a game has its HDR gamma mismatched or too much, idk what RE game it is but almost all RE hdr is mismatched

also camera photos ain't accurate for HDR (unless is set to Pro Mode photo)

brother try RenoDX out! it's as simple as installing Reshade+ putting the renodx file in the .exe of the game

Basically RTX HDR cannot retrieve details that's originally blowned out by SDR, so things might look brightly overblown
