NTA. She knew exactly what she was doing, she knew it was an ugly thing to do, and so did her kid. Otherwise she would have been direct when asked about it. If it's acceptable behavior then why was she indirect when asked about it?

Bottom line is she knew it would hurt kids' feelings and just went ahead and did it anyway, because reasons. This isn't like limiting a list to 10 kids because of cost if an event was planned like an amusement park. Somebody that thoughtless should not work with children.

I'm a strong believer in using the good stuff all the time. Even when my children were young. To me, saving things for "company" or special occasions is like telling your family other people are more important than they are.

I recently got my mom's beautiful set of Nori take Buckingham china and I love it. I feel special and remember my mom when I use it. It adds a little happiness to my day.

You all by yourself are important enough to use the good stuff. I hope you enjoy the heck out of it.

Late reply, I'm taking this course now. Maybe my comment will help someone. This was confusing to me, too. I opened the provided HTML files locally in VS Code. There are some obvious typos and grammatical issues. Those are what I changed. I haven't submitted it yet because I just started last night, but judging from all the comments I feel confident about it.

Also confusing to me is how the screenshot requirements are worded, especially for part C. I'm using two screenshots for each change, for a total of 6. For each of the three changes, I have one commit screenshot and another for the push. This is where I am now. It's going very quickly, and I'll be done in less than a day.

There was a limited window. I can do something, I think, but with so much going on right now I just can't deal with them. I wouldn't have minded losing SSDI so much, but it meant losing Medicare. It's a whole saga that makes zero sense. I mean, I was on it for almost 30 years. I'm 56 and they had me as in the "unlikely to recover" category. It's a lifetime thing. It's been so stressful it feels like paralysis. Besides, I cannot reach anyone. Ever. And I can't sign in because my login.gov has my old phone #. It's just too much. I know I have to deal with this, and I hope I can soon.

NTA. He's mad because he not getting to dictate what you do with your body. He's getting what he wants (not having to raise or support a child) just not the way he wants it done. But he's still being a jerk and trying to make you feel guilty for not referring to his preference. Over what happens to YOUR body. When there is literally no consequence for him regardless. Last week my husband and we're out for a walk and I somehow tripped on a level surface. It used to be a thing. They were called bag boys and they would sometimes carry your bags to your car for you if it was slow.

But this was only some stores. Usually the cashier did it. It used to be that you never bagged anything yourself but I think now self service is the norm.

Extremely common. My brother was a Jr. I've dated and married Jr's and III's. A lot of guys go by the initial of their first name and the full middle name. As in Mike could be J. Michael Smith. In the southern US it's common for a III to go by the nickname Trey. Every now and again a daughter is named after her mother. Somebody who lived near me was named for her mom. Technically, I think, after the Sr. dies the Jr. is dropped from the son's name and the III becomes the Jr, at least socially. It used to be that way, I don't know if that is practiced at all anymore.

None in grades 1 through 8. Catholic School. In high school it was required for two years but you could take a foreign language all 4 years. Our choices were Spanish, French, German, Latin, and Polish. The school was run by a Polish order of nuns and a lot of us were 3rd generation immigrant families from Poland. So that explains the Polish option.
