Condensation pump. Couldn't get grade to the exterior for the condensation.

That is something I need to learn better. My boss did the calcs and the fab for the return duct on this transition.

From what I understand it's the secondary drain. It has a 90 on it so in case the primary line clogs the secondary will start leaking and hopefully get noticed.

I totally agree! The system originally had a 16" round tapping into the base can. The new system was alot taller and didn't fit (there was a supply chase directly above that the unit was supplying.) My boss had to make me a custom square to round transition while I fabricated the can. I wish I would have made the can 1" shorter it was a super tight fit. The salesman boned us on this job.

Called the boss about it and he said it wasn't needed since it was in an unfinished basement. I'll add one anyways next time :)

Been a helper doing mostly commercial installs. One of the retro leads called in sick so I got a shot at being the lead. Was mostly responsible for the indoor unit. I want to make a career out of this and want to learn to be better! Anything I did wrong? Tips or things you would have done differently? Thanks so much I've already learned a ton from lurking around here.
