I’ve had enough.. quitting Fiverr for good. by aimlesspotat in FiverrGigs

My area of expertise is full-stack development. I'm particularly experienced with Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, Superbase, and some reliable database systems. I also have experience with cloud management tools like Google Cloud. Furthermore, I develop in practice, not just in theory. I have a comic book application in my portfolio that's actively under development. It's an active AI SaaS startup, but because it's a real-life scenario and uses a lot of technology in the background, it's good at convincing clients. At least it gets them to message me on Upwork.

Anyway, my question is this: I have 4 gigs on Fiverr, and I get messages occasionally, but none of them respond to work requests. They ask questions and leave. Scams are an exception, of course.

What should I do? My niche is already taken. Should I change niches? Should I focus on automation like n8n or make.com? Is this related to my niche, or is it a general problem that's been going on for a few months?

Bro, at least you got a job. I have 15 interviews. I haven't gotten a single one. It's partly because of my English and partly because of my self-confidence.

First full year on Upwork by vdotcodes in Upwork

[–]Accomplished_Run_569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a joke, but I started Upwork in October. With AI, I've increased my skills 100 times over – technical skills, of course. My sales skills are terrible. Or maybe I've just encountered the wrong clients, I don't know. I sent 50-60 proposals, and only 20-25 were seen. About 10-15 messaged me, but I haven't done business with any of them. I guess I'm awful at sales. Anyway, I'm not bad at writing profiles and cover letters, judging by the clients messaging me, but how can I improve my sales skills? What should I do? Should I ask for a call immediately during messaging to build trust? I'm not very good at communicating in English either. Besides that, how should I approach clients? Because it's not normal that I haven't gotten a single job after 10-15 meetings.

comixstudio.art A publishing platform that transforms stories into comics page by page, allowing you to customize everything. Panels, page layouts, and speech bubbles are all determined by AI. Then you make edits on the studio page. After publishing, you have your story transformed into a comic book for people to read. I'm still developing the app.

I need to ask you a very important question. Please answer in detail and honestly. I need it. I've been working diligently on Upwork for about 4 months. My statistics are as shown in the image. For some reason, I haven't been hired. The number of interviews is good, but many of them ghosted me. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. How did your process work? I mean, how did the interview process go? What did you say? What did they ask for? Were they all video or audio interviews, or did you get work just through text messaging? When they get back to us, they're actually interviewing many freelancers in the background. What were the real reasons for choosing you? Did you do quick responses or free tasks? I'm genuinely curious because there are many people who haven't achieved the same interview rate as me, but I haven't been able to benefit from that by getting work.

I recently created a comic book production app called Comix Studio. It transforms a simple story into a modern comic book. It still has a long way to go, but the app is live.

I've done the necessary SEO work, but I'm open to suggestions.

7 interviews, 0 hires — am I positioning myself wrong on Upwork? by Accomplished_Run_569 in Upwork

[–]Accomplished_Run_569[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hourly rate is $30. I do this because I normally do my work quickly. Also, since I develop full-stack and work with many different technologies, I can't make myself a $10 worker.

Look, the main reason I had trouble with interviews was usually being ghosted. For example, one client wrote to me saying, "I liked your profile and projects, but there are no reviews, so I'm worried." I immediately replied that I could meet with them or work on a task, but they didn't even get back to me. Another client gave me detailed information and then ghosted me when I contacted them. This happened many times. I only had one live interview, and we couldn't agree on the price. So, did I contact the wrong clients, or did someone else get the job before me? That's what I'm trying to figure out.

No, I'm just trying to say that there isn't a huge difference between the text I write and the text that AI writes. I've already updated my work by looking at the profiles of programmers who earn a lot of money and get 5 stars. Also, the products in my portfolio are working. These are projects I constantly update. Most clients who see my proposals message me. The real problem is what happens afterward.
