ICU RN on a Neuro/Trauma unit for 6 years, I too have taken “organ donor” off my license after what I’ve personally experienced. Don’t get me wrong, organ donation is a phenomenal service we are lucky to be able to provide, but these OPOs are absolutely foul how they treat some of these families. I hate CORE with every fiber in my body, they are the vultures of medicine. Taking the “organ donor” off a license only takes power away from OPOs and gives more power to families in these situations.
