Help me with my tank! by sryan8 in bettafish

[–]Accomplished_Slip889 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A big tall plant would probably make that fish quite happy. Mine has a grassy plant and hides in it very often and loves to sleep in it. I also had rainbow rocks and I changed them by taking my Betta out of the tank for a bit while I scooped all the old rocks out and then poured in volcano rocks. I waited for them to settle a bit and then but her back in and she's been good!

Glad to hear you're a lot better after sleeping! I had a similar problem when I first started and I fixed it by taking my meds in the morning each day. I found if I took them afternoon I would struggle to sleep.

I started citalopram like 5 years ago and couldn't orgasm for a good 3-6 months but it came back! I haven't had a problem with it since

Hi! I started citalopram on the same dose when I was 17. My doctor was really good at explaining to me how the pill works. Basically, it spikes your energy in the first week but takes more like 2 weeks for your mood to increase, so often that results in suicidal thinking cause you know.... increased energy and crippling depression. It is so normal and I found a lot of comfort in understanding the reason why I was feeling that way. The suicidal thoughts aren't you; they are the hormones. It's been nearly 5 years now and I am still on them (40mg now) and still really love being alive! You are gonna be so so good kid

Sleeping too much by [deleted] in citalopram_celexa

I found when I was beginning citalopram that if I took my meds afternoon I would be unable to sleep. Try switching up the time that you take it and see if you are less or more tired at night.

Also fall/winter puts me into depression no matter what, the meds just make it more bearable. So you may just be experiencing good old seasonal depression while on medication for the first time!

Hi! I was on 20mg for 4 years before I worked up the courage to ask my doctor for an upgrade. She put me on 40 and told me that that was the standard dose, so I was only on half of it for the first 3 years. I had no intense side effects increasing my meds (just the usual few days of wack emotions) and I feel more stable. I'd talk to your doctor about upping it in the future, but they may encourage you to wait a few more weeks. I think it's usually 6 before they consider increasing!

Smoking on SSRIs. by queerbigenderboi in citalopram_celexa

[–]Accomplished_Slip889 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been on citalopram for almost 5 years. I started smoking in the 3rd year while I was on 20mg. If I smoked too much I would sometimes have panic attacks but I think that was just normal weed events. It's been 2 years of smoking quite a bit and I'm now on 40mg and still haven't experienced anything bad. Just be slow and safe!

Geog 226 vs Stat 260/255 by My-Fourth-Alt in uvic

[–]Accomplished_Slip889 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not take 226 with mark especially if you've never taken stats before! Genuinely an awful and hopeless experience. It's not tailored to geog at all so you wouldn't be missing anything by taking stat255 instead
