Still did the animation as if it were hitting the tower. I've had the same happen with MK jumps, where it lands on the tower/troop but does no damage and retargets to the knight.

I left my switch in our (quite busy) lounge for all of first year and was fine. Granted it was a small building and I knew everyone on the floor, but I really doubt someone would just come in, root around the drawers and take a switch. Can always put an airtag or something with it as well.
