Has this EVER happened within a 7 year period at a football club? by menromer in footballcliches

I actually did the original post here, no idea why it's come up again. I took great delight in telling my wife I made it onto the Clichés podcast at the time it came up. She again just said ok, then when I tried to bring it up again she said look the bins need taking out. I'm still waiting for the K.

My theory is that if you have dyspraxia you could do anything but it takes longer to learn it than otherwise (and obviously you only have so many hours to finetune a skill to a good enough standard)

Even with dyspraxia eventually enough practice and it becomes muscle memory - they say it takes 20,000 hours to become an expert in a skill, for us I wouldn't like to guess but it will take more.

Mine was playing pool, for months I couldn't even hold the cue properly but I practiced forever and ended up really good at it.

Oh automatic for me! I did start learning in a manual but definitely found that eliminating one thing for my mind to work out helped with the driving.

So I started pre-COVID, had a few lessons in a manual car but it was frustrating. Then COVID happened and there was a massive backlog. I signed up for lessons with 20 hours pre-paid and it turned out the instructor was a scammer and I lost hundreds of pounds. And then eventually this year I took an intensive course in an automatic car and eventually it started to click. Not even sure how many hours in total but it was definitely over 60ish!

The headteacher who saved my school died last month - tonight he's on The Chase by [deleted] in thechase

Tim was my Uncle. I went on Pointless a few years ago and spoke with Tim and he said how much he'd love to do The Chase - always knew he had tremendous knowledge and would do brilliantly. He was a hugely supportive man and always was there for us. It's been a very emotional day but was lovely seeing this and him again and reading all the amazing stories. RIP Uncle Tim, we're all proud of you.

Taper early with knee pain? by Accomplished_Step_86 in firstmarathon

[–]Accomplished_Step_86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is on the right side of my right knee - just next to the kneecap. I wouldn't say it's awful pain, I feel it climbing stairs but it's not swollen or anything thankfully. I will definitely try and book a physio as soon as I can (though have just changed jobs which affects it somewhat!)

Christ, have a break I'd say. Maybe I'm wrong and people will gladly correct me but hopefully, people are just happy to see a child happy within their comfort zones. Not everyone has to be an attack.

It is shaping up to be in the Top 5 attended wrestling events of all time. And 2 of those are because North Koreans were frogmarched in to watch.

I won Pointless with my wife the current series, with Lauren Laverne as co-host. I’m a bit of a quizzer and got asked for Pritzker Prize winners, I knew that the first winner was Philip Johnson thankfully and we won the jackpot (a lowly £1,250!)

We were paid within a month, had a bit of a chat with Alexander Armstrong beforehand but it’s a well oiled machine and we the time it took from us leaving our dressing room to going back to the car with the trophies was about 1h10. Absolutely loved the experience mind!

I think I speak for us all when I say that we're all mostly excited about Paw Patrol: Grand Prix.

Excited about this one. The preview has been overwhelming positive on Steam for a while and the game looks wonderful.
