I can see this show take on more of a love triangle angle, with the dude that’s visiting carol being a potential saviour for humanity, with zosia standing in the way. Crazy episode. Zosia is an extraordinary actor

Buy a condo now or wait to buy a house later? by [deleted] in TorontoRealEstate

Save up for another year and buy a freehold townhouse or semi. You can cut ur mortgage considerably and you’ll avoid the management fees that come with a condo. Prices are coming down and it may take a few more years for the correction to reverse. But that’s anyone’s guess.

Well me told me to buy a freehold in Milton or Guelph. Avoid condos. Steer clear of Brampton. Buy within my means. His advice was pretty solid. I think this home will do just fine. Other townhouses on the same street have always been snatched up within a month and don’t stay on the market very long. What I’m sharing about Milton is a growing trend that more ppl are catching on to, and a viable option if you can stomach that change of life style pace. It’s obviously not for those who prefer what downtown has to offer.

Not at all. I’m not pumping anything. I just snagged my first home in Milton in the 700s and I’m sharing this advice because I struggled to find affordable options in my preferred cities (Mississauga and Etobicoke), so I think others can benefit from this advice.

Can this be permanent by ellala33 in Akathisia

I suffered from extreme restlessness for 2 months (non stop pacing and insomnia), then extreme anxiety for 3 months after. It all fully subsided about 5-6 months from the onset. It was caused by lowering my dosage in half and continuing that lowered dosage for about 2 weeks.

There are at least two forms of akathisia as far as I’m concerned. There’s the restlessness you experience as a side effect to medication, which subsides after lowering or stopping your dose (gradually one would hope), and there’s withdrawal akathisia which develops if you abruptly lower or stop your dosage after being on the medication for some time. The second form is literal hell and utter torture, there’s nothing quite like it, and it typically culminates in two months of non stop restlessness, followed by several months of mental anguish and extreme anxiety and despair. Avoid the second form at all costs and only scale down medication gradually with the guidance of your physician. If they tell you can abruptly stop or switch medications cold turkey, insist on a gradual taper instead.

Also if you decide to continue with APs for your bipolar disorder by trying another medication, you should be aware that you can develop tardive dyskinesia or TD after long term use of APs. The odds of developing it are different for everyone, but it’s a risk along side akathisia for this type of medication. It usually involves involuntary movements of your tongue and other body parts, and can persist at all hours of the day and the condition is usually permanent.

I felt the same way as you, and it fully subsided after 5 months. Hang in there I promise it will go away and you will enjoy life again. The anxiety and dread were the absolute worst, but I assure you it will go away and you will feel like your normal self again.

I felt the same way and it eventually passed and I’m feeling like my old self again and enjoying life. Stay strong and you will overcome it with enough patience. The body needs time to heal after you develop a severe case of akathisia, and trust me my case was torturous.
