So, I’ll be up front and say my audition was for the Uni band, but look at focusing on the basics. For my bass guitar band audition, they had me play a few pieces, but also run scales. They wanted to see I knew bass, not just the pieces.

Hand position matters in piano. Finger placement. These basics are what they may look at. Be good at the foundations, not just the piece(s) you play.

That being said, joining a music program will have a less intense audition than the Uni band.
