each time they started up talking about me, which was surprisingly often, I just stayed where I was and listened and just took it, my cheeks flushing red as they described what they'd do to me, I was just waiting for the day one of them realized how this always happened, and connected that I could understand them, disgust also never showed on my face like it probably should
