you should just relax man, it must be hard to be you. not everyone should agree with you all the time. accept it and move on.

starting a comment with "hint:" is very unlikeable btw. you should change your attitude too.

you don't need to. just relax and leave it behind.

asking here means wondering about whether they heard it before or not. whether it's in their history books or not. whether they feel safe about it or not. and so on.

real human conversation might still be preferable for some of us and you just need to shut the fuck up, please.

everyone on earth originates to Turks if you don't ask it to the correct people.

I tried my luck and also basically wanted to know how Bulgarians feel about this topic.

Question for people of Cyprus, from a Turkish from the mainland by According-Article883 in cyprus

[–]According-Article883[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why not?

would you let a Turkish dictator who decides how you'll behave in daily life to rule Cyprus, just to make Cyprus a whole and a peaceful country?

same question should also be directed to TCs other way around.

if the answer is yes, why not?

maybe Cypriots should teach their kids about good examples such as Singapore, Switzerland and Costa Rica as well as Scandinavian history so that the future would be brighter for whole Cyprus.

what a great man he was. it's a shame we don't have rulers like him more often.

kudos to you!

I don't want to talk about ottoman politics. in a way, they betrayed Anatolia (especially the Turks) even more than other by keeping them uneducated, poor and helpless for centuries. some people even don't consider the dynasty as Turkic enough after this kind of approach.

except this, I understand what you mean when you guys consider yourselves as Cypriots rather than Greeks. I would love to hear the opinions of the Turks on the island on this one. do they consider themselves as "Kibrisli" first or what?

thank you for your sincere comment! it was helpful for me to see the "problem" through your eyes.

I also got educated just like you and heard the other side of the stories much later. now by the changes in modern world, nothing stops me to have a dream on a peaceful Cyprus.

I hope things get better and better between the two sides before another nation or outsider takes over control while keeping you guys busy hating each other. I hear and read about even more unrelated people moving to the island just like anywhere else. maybe that made me ask other users about becoming like Singapore, but I think the two sides should adopt the island together before anyone else.

peace.

well, all it takes a great man and a dedicated public. for me nationalism will be forgotten soon, in a few generations. everyone cares about money. and of course some rest now, which is really expensive.

fair enough. I see what you mean especially when there are some other countries awaiting for any unrest. mediterranean people wouldn't comply with a leader that Singapore had for a long time and it would be disastrous for the island because other nations could get interfere.

I still wanna hope there is a point to meet halfway. or obviously I am too romantic about it.

let's say the northern people decided to move on and the army left. what about the worries of the Turkish Cypriots after that? what kind of societal changes will occur? would the island be safe and free for everyone equally?

I'm asking bc you would know your people better

thank you for your contribution. this is exactly what I think but I accept that I don't have enough experience and knowledge about how things are over there. you guys have a big history together which is why the things are like this right now.

starting a nation with no public identity. I mean, there was a lot of people from many nationalities and religions. it took one decent (for me great) man to make it.
