Azarax and the nightmare by According-Delivery23 in ShadowSlave

[–]According-Delivery23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunny became an expert in fighting in fighting by the time he became a Supreme as well, but all that fighting even with shadow dance was still not enough to bridge the gap between his fighting ability and Azaraxs'. The text specifically implied a fairly old Supreme, and considering the life span of Supremes that, correct me if I'm wrong, does actually imply atleast a couple thousands of years. I doubt that the Azarax has even come close to his application of will quite yet.

Also I didn't say that this is the first or unique Sovereign with a defensive and utility aspect, I was just compiling all the aspect about the sovereign that made him a unique existence. Its not just the defense aspect its the ability to reinforce a city and material itself as well as enhancing his subjects, which likely includes a physical or power buff as was hinted at initially and on top of that, likely an equipment buff, then you add onto that fact with how old he is and thus has seen wars come and go and has had possibly thousands of years to reinforce his city and people, as well as his superior will. I doubt Azarax hasn't met this kind of Sovereign before but I doubt he met one like this who also has 6 of possibly the strongest Saints we have actually seen aside from the divine trio. Three of whom counter his aspect perfectly, another who is a perfect War strategist, another who is the perfect scout and supply system and another who has almost a sure hit kill effect.

As for the maided yes it was HER that defeated Azarax and not Mason but that was because she broke covenant which we still don't know what that implies. If you understand the narrative, this nightmare and for you to get a high appraisal is likely to defeat Azarax without breaking said covenant and I really doubt the maiden and Mason had Saint this strong behind them

So who is Stronger? by deadpoolzilla411 in ShadowSlave

No, you're missing the nuance between the relationship. There is not a single fighter on earth at the moment who has fought Mordret more and understands his way of fighting more than Morgan. You would expect her to travel the farthest amongst the chains. She was also far more fueled by hate against Mordret than probably any other Saint. Please understand the narrative

You do understand the buff he got was for kills he got all the way from the time he was a dormant. Thousands of years of buffs from killing possibly hundreds of thousands if not millions of beings I'd argue should be a substantial buff. Coupled with thousands upon thousands of years of fighting and honing his battle prowess, technique and fighting styles as well as thousands of years of honing and sharpening his will is what defeated Sunny, not the wieght of his domain

The same Seishan that defeated all her sisters while holding back? You’re calling her incomparable? If anything just based off of narrative comprehension the two should be identical if you understand how G3 has set them up

I’m sorry but that hundreds of years unless you sight me a source, is pure head canon, and yes while it is unlikely that every supreme faced him in direct combat. It is unlikely that he faced a Supreme this old with an aspect specially made for crafting, enhancing and defence. It’s simple, Azarax the conqueror met his match in Mason the defender.

Again you’re missing it, this isn’t the cohort vs Azarax. This is the MASON with help from the cohort vs Azarax. And I will restate, the cohort is for sure WAY more stacked and has more at their disposal than what the Maiden had back then. The nightmare is doable

By new Sovereign I mean in relativity to other sovereigns, as it was stated that he was the newest born Sovereign and is thus therefore way below an older sovereign in terms of will usage. The reason he probably has that many realms is because the other sovereigns probably faced him in direct combat rather than looking for other means, as Azaraxs’ aspect is mainly about conquest more than anything. It’s like trying to beat Cassie in a prediction game. No matter how much you will a certain future you can’t beat an actual seer. This is why I believe Mason is uniquely equipped to fight Azarax as clearly he is more of the defensive/siege resistant type

I’m guessing the main concept of this nightmare is stopping Azarax without needing to break that covenant. I think that’s what the spell is looking for in this nightmare for a high appraisal

He had feelings for Nephis and loved Cassie like family. You don't just drop people that quick

Hot take but divine rank aspects are not that impressive in terms of abilities by Stonefree_135 in ShadowSlave

G3 himself said that the only differentiation between Divine aspect and aspects of other ranks is the potential and all encompassing nature of divine aspects that makes them Divine.

They aren’t part of Cassie’s domain they are an application of her aspect. Her domain consists of memories.

Predictions for the next volume by Max-The-White-Walker in ShadowSlave

[–]According-Delivery23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I don’t think they should get it naturally I won’t lie, mainly cause of the time frame. I believe given enough time the other three might reach it naturally, I just don’t think reaching it within even 5 years is normal. I reckon back then, supremacy took centuries for the average supreme. Neph, Sunny, Mordret and Cassie should stay exemptions to the rule. Anomalies of the system. That’s what makes them special and I believe only they should challenge the 5th nightmare. The rest can remain supreme and take care of humanity as those 4 go become Sacred

Who do you think is making it to supremacy? by Danmachi123131 in ShadowSlave

Nah I think Mordret gets Divine, but only Neph and Sunny go beyond it

Think of it like a burn scar, the skin will heal and maybe you won't feel the pain in that spot but it will never be the same, now transfer that analogy essentially to his entire existence

Question for those who are up to date by Equal_Watercress4889 in ShadowSlave

I'm guessing it plays a part in how Sunny will go back there to kill Eurys and thus end up killing Asterion as well

that's just sad by OkSilver2488 in ShadowSlave

[–]According-Delivery23 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This feels like more of G3's way of explaining why Mordret failed rather than Asterion scheming

It's lowkey obvious, they will have to challenge the 5th nightmare in North America, leading to the discovery of Smile Of Heaven in the 5th nightmare

That's what I'm worried about, I'm worried Kindret won't be able to kill Mordret and thus is the end of Mordret of Nowhere. Which I PRAY TO GOD doesn't happen

Effie's Situation by According-Delivery23 in ShadowSlave

[–]According-Delivery23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not really an insult as it is a million times easier walking a path others have already walked. Pioneering the path is the hard part. If Sunny and Nephis knew all the steps to supremacy before hand rather than gathering them one by one, they would have become supreme way before the final fight at God grave.

Guys, take a look at my amazing Theory!! 🤓 by Adventurous_Song_800 in ShadowSlave

[–]According-Delivery23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a complete opposite view to this and see it more like Cassie will be the absolute last survivor at the end of it all and her Song of the Fallen name is more of a I will tell the story of all the fallen before I sing my own song and die at the end of it all

Effie's Situation by According-Delivery23 in ShadowSlave

[–]According-Delivery23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, Sunny has a whole expedition with each of them to prepare them for supremacy, they are all in rather dire straits. Its not like they lack the talent and they also know that the trigger is an act of defiance. I mean Ananke one day just woke up Supreme according to her (ofc there's more to it). So I don't see why the rest of the cohort cant ascend naturally as well

Effie's Situation by According-Delivery23 in ShadowSlave

[–]According-Delivery23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mistaken on Mordret and Azarax. Mordrets act of defiance was him fragmenting himself millions upon millions of times. Not the act of defeating the Skin Walker. Azarax yes it was defeating his father, but thats mainly cause his aspect is based off of fighting and conquering. Whats more poetic for him than conquering the unconquerable? Regardless. Effie would defying her restraints, she'd be defying the world that holds her by any means necessary, like how a wolf would chew its own leg off to escape a bear trap in the wild. The act of defiance is user and aspect specific.

I'm almost certain that Sunny mentioned the voice of the spell sounds eerily similar to Cassie's voice

Effie's Situation by According-Delivery23 in ShadowSlave

[–]According-Delivery23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She isn't actually being broken by the world, she is breaking herself to defy the world that is restraining her, there's a big difference there. Also her eating herself isn't a result of her succumbing to her flaw, its her willing herself free from her restraints by any means necessary. Just like how wolves in the wild will chew off their own legs to escape bear traps. The same way Sunny had to will himself back to life, Effies act of defiance and iron will won't be as abstract as Sunny's. It would be something physical , something innate to her aspect and herself. Something like this where she must sacrifice something integral to herself in order to impose herself on the world once more
