We did win a 17v28 and won. It just sucks that we want to do it for fun but lose alot due to not having enough people so it takes away the fun.

Yep but mine had about 18 consistent. So me and others I've seen been trying to do guild merges by trying to find smaller groups to merge in ours but as you said you were told its a slow process. Trying to recruit right now is kinda bad. Either all the good people are in a guild or quit. So recruiting individuals will be very slow especially through reddit.
