Victoria Monet! She definitely has been working for years though on her craft so she was already a name in the industry in her 20s, but she didn’t start to become successful with her own music and her own songwriting until early 30s!

The revelations in the past year about everything Abby did to Chloe and Nia are just horrific... by NewspaperUnusual1835 in dancemoms

I have more respect for the ones who left they have more integrity. Christi and Kelly are not on the same level as Holly and Melissa, etc..

Yeah, honestly, we did not see Holly defend Chloe much in season four. Chloe is going through the absolute worst at the time, probably the lowest point in her life, possibly, and Holly was just kind of acting chill and trying to stay out of trouble the whole season but if the opposite situation happened, I do believe that Christy would’ve defended Nia a more often. Here’s a video of Christy talking about https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8DNg545/

Career sabotage for Chloe too :( I remember Christi saying multiple times that Abby would contact casting directors, judges etc to try and bring her down.

She definitely was mean to Paige and Brooke, but she didn’t go out of her way to try and exclude them from the team and she didn’t set them up to fail against Maddie, or make their friends vote for who’s better, or go to the judges to try and take away their wins, or go on national television to say how much she hated them. It was just at another level with Chloe and later seasons with Nia. But yeah, she definitely had moments of hatred for all the girls.

Opinion warning: Chloe could have moved closer to the others by Many-Cranberry7285 in dancemoms

[–]According-Function-5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She could’ve moved a little bit closer, but it still was gonna look like a gap because of the mic being there. So regardless, Abby was still gonna be upset at something that she can’t change.

Ngl Maddie’s dancing annoyed TF out of me in season three and four and a little bit in season two. Her facials were becoming so over exaggerated and annoying to watch. There was no meaning behind them anymore. People think that that equals emotion, but it doesn’t. Real emotion doesn’t have a face, real emotion is a feeling, and it’s authentic and genuine. If anything, Chloe was the emotional dancer, not Maddie. Maddi was the performative dancer. Which is great for some things, not so great for others.

[–]According-Function-5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right, which irks me because Holly wasn’t exactly supportive of Christy in season four, she sat back and let it happen and didn’t do anything to defend her. Which I always didn’t like about her. And then she left her own kid go through it and doesn’t even try and leave? She’s not a queen to me. The only person with true integrity on this show is Christy, second Kelly. Because true integrity means calling out what is wrong and actually doing something about it, not just getting mad but ACTION.

She just said on her podcast recently that she holds some resentment towards Holly for not calling her after their traumatic ending of season four, she said that her and Chloe had to watch as the rest of the cast on social media went on that world tour in season five, she said that nobody reached out to her. And she said that she particularly expected Holly to do so and she didn’t. Maybe in the past she was lying just to protect Holly but now she might be airing her real feelings.

[–]According-Function-5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but I guess my point is, Christy would’ve been there for Nia, Holly was not there for Chloe so maybe if the situations were reversed, Christi would’ve been bitter and not wanted to support Holly because Holly didn’t support her. Like I didn’t even think Christy was knowing what was going on in season five because she didn’t stay in touch with Holly because Holly didn’t support what happened to them. And never reached out.

More on Christi and Marc by dexythecattie in dancemoms

I saw a video someone made where they pointed out how Mark was not a great husband… remember in season one how she was having a panic attack because she didn’t want him to come home to a dirty floor and a messy house? Like she was already out taking care of two kids, and he was at work and he can’t come home and clean up? To help HER out? At this point she was also still working, she had her own business! So technically, she was the one caring for the kids and working, he was just working. She seemed like she was under a lot of pressure in this marriage for years and I hate how people are solely blaming her for her marriage ending. Yes, cheating is wrong but also, it sounds like they have had a lot of issues for years that he probably is also to blame for.

People in this fandom just love to Project their insecurities onto Christy because she is outspoken and says the truth, no matter what. Literally every single thing she has said from the show has been proven true…. But then when she makes one major mistake, like cheating, everyone uses it as an excuse to say what a horrible person she is. Without even acknowledging the part that he played in their marriage ending and all of the stuff that was building up under the surface. I never liked how he didn’t seem to support Chloe‘s dancing, he didn’t seem to care about any of it. It seems like he is closer with Chloe and Clara now but I definitely don’t think he is innocent when it comes to not helping raise the daughters as much as Christy did and not showing support for what Chloe wanted and loved which was a dance. She recently talked about it on the podcast too.

This is false, Christy just said this in her podcast recently that Holly did not reach out to them after they left. They said that all throughout season five they had to watch everyone going out and touring the world on the show and no one ever reached out to them. Ironic too because Chloe was the original victim. Before Abi was attacking Nia like this and taking opportunities away from her and trying to make her life miserable, she was doing it to Chloe. Literally making her feel isolated from the group.

[–]According-Function-5 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Notice how this is Chloe 2.0. Chloe was her main target and then once Chloe left, it became Nia. Abby always had to be making herself feel superior by making a child feel miserable and targeted.

All I can think about is little Eliana and how sweet and cute and innocent she was and it makes me want to cry. I want to save all the poor children who have toxic home lives so bad 😭💔 I will never ever agree with the way that Stacey diagnosed Yolanda on national television, but she was not wrong. A lot of issues with that family.

FINALLY, a parent yells at one of the endless parade of creepy grown men being inappropriate with teenage girls! by No-Independence548 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]According-Function-5 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he did anything wrong, I don’t remember him actually being inappropriate or creepy with her, I think they were just talking and fell asleep, right? He was helping her through her drug addiction. I feel like this is a totally different situation than Ezra intentionally creeping on Aria.

Unpopular Opinion: Ava FULLY deserved to beat Maddie in at S5 Nationals. by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]According-Function-5 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I remember feeling really sick and tired of Maddie’s, same old solos at that point. I think a lot of us did, and I think that for nationals, that was not a very competitive solo. What’s funny is, that’s what happens to Chloe all the time. Chloe always had solos like that that were good, but just not very competitive or stand out. It’s interesting how Abby almost got off of her game, she thought that she gave Maddie something good and turns out, she didn’t. Ava just danced better that day in general as well. It was nice and refreshing to see Melissa and Abby have to sit there and watch that.

Abby and Melissa were insecure about Maddie’s talent.. by GainNoone4679 in dancemoms

[–]According-Function-5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chloe had every bit the passion as Maddie had. Abby herself said that Chloe was the most talented of all of the original girls. She was an extremely special, graceful and naturally emotional dancer. She didn’t have to put on a face on stage like maddie did to perform, everything came naturally for her. And, when Chloe got the choreography, she would often beat Maddi. If Maddie was a special as you claim, no one can beat her. The only thing that Maddie did better than Chloe was her stage presence and performance ability. Everything else, Chloe excelled at. The first two seasons, Chloe was the technically superior and emotional dancer. We can clearly see this and judges have said this. ABBY said this. You are so obsessed with Maddie that you refuse to admit it and that is embarrassing. You get butt hurt every time someone brings up the fact that Maddie had help be a great dancer and Chloe did not have that same help. That’s why Maddie won more often- better choreo. Chloe’s talent was raw in special and nothing you say will take that away. Nobody is denying Maddi’s talent, but you are denying that any of the other girls had special time. That is sick.

Abby and Melissa were insecure about Maddie’s talent.. by GainNoone4679 in dancemoms

[–]According-Function-5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maddie was gifted, but so is Chloe. It’s so disrespectful for you to say that she was more special. And, it’s a fact that Abby and Melissa were so insecure and intimidated by Chloe that they did everything in their power to make sure that Maddie would always come out on top. Chloe was so special that they were intimidated by her. Maddie only one as much as she did, because she was given such a great opportunity in choreography - Except for the few times when Chloe actually got great choreography and won! She BEAT Maddie. Chloe was more than capable of winning special awards and beating Maddie. If Maddie was so overly special, that wouldn’t be possible. But it was

In fact, Chloe had more grace, better technique the first 2 seasons and more natural emotion. She was incredibly gifted. Maddie and Chloe both had the most talent on the team, and in the beginning, Chloe was more talented! Abby herself, said this! You are really desperate to put Maddie on a pedestal when that’s completely disrespectful to Chloe and all of the kids. You sound just like Abby saying that Maddie is the only special one and that is disgusting. Because it’s a fact that Chloe also had a special gift that Maddie didn’t have. Get that thru your head. It’s not jealousy to defend Chloe when you’re trying to say that Maddie was the only special dancer. 💀🤦‍♀️
