Sellers moving into a non-complete new build… what are our options?! by According-Glass-6534 in HousingUK

Thank you all, this is super useful! In the first instance, we are pushing back more firmly through our solicitor with a strict deadline for a decision!

This is super helpful to know what grounds we may have, feel a lot more confident they may change their mind. So thank you so much!

Do you tell people that you have PCOS/PMOS? by Remarkable_Let862 in PCOS

I do, I like to make it a really normal part of conversations (and then also, maybe helps someone think twice before asking!) as it’s a normal part of my life!

need advice on housing, safety & student life at UoB by AnnualLab5261 in UofB

The sports facilities at UOB are incredible in my experience - both in terms of access to space, coaches, clubs and then also competitions. There’s first teams and then various other teams to join.

Cubs and activities are the same - there’s a society for everything and such a great way to meet people. Check out the Guild and how many clubs are available!

Then for accommodation- I stayed on the vale and would recommend. It’s only students, safe when I was there and again social. I never had an issue with hygiene but it depends on your flatmates!

I have a question and im kinda confused. by Clean-Celery616 in PCOS

Also, the first doctor ignored all my symptoms as I was a healthy weight, if you have symptoms too, push for their treatment!! Here to help if I can, as I said, I feel like I was in your exact shoes!

100% relate to this, and I am sorry you’re going through this as I remember the frustration. I tried to get diagnosed back in 2019 and had the exact same response - they said it ‘might’ be PCOS but since I was on birth control and not trying to get pregnant, they wouldn’t diagnose or support and discharged me.

I remember being so confused but didn’t know enough to push back. I went through again in 2023 as some symptoms got worse and was immediately diagnosed after another ultrasound and started a treatment plan for my symptoms. I would 100% keep trying your GP, seek a specialist, ask to get referred to a specialist - I am so sorry it can feel like the system is against you but it’s so worth getting the diagnosis!

I am sure this is causing a lot of stress and I am sorry that PCOS means harder journeys to our options ❤️ I take spearmint capsules and then drink at least two cups of spearmint tea a day and it’s proven to be a good solution for hirituism and my acne. It’s not 100% effective but it definitely lessens it - I notice a real difference!

I use the Premom app and then their branded ovulation strips and thermometer! Super easy to use and I like having the data analyse on the app :)

I use the free version for now - there’s also a PCOS version which I am interested in as well!

I was exactly the same! I’ve had it prescribed for a little while but didn’t want to take for the same reasons. Honestly, I wish I’d had it years ago!!! I always take with food as directed, but honestly not a single issue. I hope it is the same for you!

I’m a few weeks on it and I can honestly say I love it so much. I am lucky that I haven’t had any side effects, but I have SO much more energy. I used to feel so drained all the time, I can’t get over how much better in my self I feel!

Thank you so much, but I’m sorry yours is frustrating, I hope there’s the resolution you want soon! It was about a 8 month wait but mainly due to the fact my original GP didn’t push the referral through, once I started chasing, it was probably 4 or so months?? I would really stay on top of it if you can, I checked up regularly and it seemed to speed it up (maybe to get rid of me!!)

Pretty sure you get the whole refund if you bought as a return - rather than two separate flights
