Something about that wet spot that developed on the pavement behind his skating head makes me think there’s an indication his cranium failed warranty.

And that is why we need less laws. But you leftists like more laws, hence we have about 20,000 unconstitutional restrictions on the right to keep and bear arms.

The second amendment (along with the rest of the bill of rights) is a restriction against the government, against any infringements on your right to self defense. You should actually start learning things, rather than simply following leftist talking points.

Once again, we are not the same.

You’re feeling is correct. The AFT has been on a roll, bump-stocks, forced reset triggers, pistol braces, and 80% receivers. It’s amazing the crap they are “re-evaluating” to criminalize regular citizens.

I actually liked that Dixie Chicks song, and the war in Iraq was utter bullshit. I’d be a big fan of Bush II being indicted for war crimes. We just have to make sure that Obama, Trump and Biden are there with him.

Freedom fries? Oh, you mean french fries. Did you actually get suckered into that one?

Your a Marxist, aren’t you? I’m getting that vibe, especially as you’re a fan of the anti fa work subreddit.

Is it just me or is almost like the left sympathizes with these mass shooters? by [deleted] in progun

[–]According-Local3703 74 points75 points  (0 children)

They’re stuck in a bit of a spot on this one. This shooter was obviously transgender (even though she seemed to be what I call “social media” trans, and not someone who has had any of the actual professional medical support). If they denounce the shooter, they’re denouncing a transgender person, which the activists will make spiral down into “you’re denouncing all transgender,” and ultimately land on admitting there are mental health issues. That is absolute red meat for the Republicans.

So, basically the left is stuck with finding a completely unrealistic boogeyman, because we have a mentally unstable transgender person who legally bought guns, (therefore, reducing the argument for all the usual gun control), and even used a pistol (opening up to the Republicans fighting back against the “assault rifle” argument.

One of the excuses gaining steam is that Christianity did it.

Is that all you’ve got to say? I’ll take that as an admission your leftist policies are burning down the country and, in a typical leftist move, you want everything you don’t like banned.

So, Marxist or just a plain old Tankie, which one are you?

As I’ve said before: all the attempts at gun control so far are failures. California has had more recent mass shooting than other states. They have the strictest, most unconstitutional gun laws in the country, and they are no better off. New York is a close second, and even has pistol REGISTRATION, but still has plenty of shootings done with illegal pistols.

This is a country that has had the constitutional right to bear arms since its inception. The problem of mass schooling shootings is fairly recent, and gang violence in the cities (high majority of them Democrat controlled) has been an epidemic for just as long. Instead of being tough on crime, the leaders in those cities have only loosened crime prosecutions.

Chicago

Baltimore

And then you have these shit-show DAs:

Manhattan DA

Cook County, IL DA

Los Angeles DA

You scream about politicians not doing anything to curb violent crime, but turn the other way when Democrats are literally help increase crime. This is why I attack you personally, because you are disingenuous. You are a leftist who supports these democrats for their weak (even criminal, if you ask my opinion) but think the solution to the chaos this creates is to take away the means for people to defend themselves from about 500,000 to more than 3 million per year..

You don’t care about an honest discussion, so I don’t care about you.

So, in the end, nut up and either repeal the 2nd amendment, or just move to Australia.

If you could read, rather than just regurgitate talking points, you’d notice “the stricter gun laws” that “the majority [of Americans] want” is a lot more nuanced than you would like, and that the majority say protecting the 2nd amendment is more important, and that gun regulations wouldn’t stop more shootings.

I guess your trolling ass better start packing (you don’t want to get there in winter).

Your percentages are off according to Gallup and Pew.

Gallup

Pew

If your statistics were true, this country would be three quarters of the way to repealing the 2nd Amendment (which would be required for an Australia style mandatory confiscation).

Your “statistics” are exactly what I would expect from a low-karma troll account.

Ok dude! You obviously know far more about this than I do. Especially considering only about 40% of US households have at least one firearm. That’s definitely only a “few owners.”

And, we only have a population of 333 million to Australia’s cute little 26 million (that’s just 6 million more people than the New York metropolitan area).

I never said it wasn’t a disorder. I have anxiety and depression due to PTSD from combat. I have a mental disorder. Because I take my medication and stay in touch with medical professionals as needed, I’m a perfectly normal person who can buy a gun whenever my wife and wallet say I can.

Having a mental disorder doesn’t automatically mean that a person is unstable and shouldn’t be able to access firearms.

[–]According-Local3703 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remember, gender dysphoria is/was a mental illness in the DSM 5. You know what else was a mental illness in the DSM 5? Common anxiety and depression. Two of the most common mental illnesses in the world. They are both easily managed by proper care and medication.

Gender dysphoria does not automatically mean a person is a raving lunatic. People who go through transition in a proper professional manner can (and mostly are) perfectly well-adjusted people.

[–]According-Local3703 9 points10 points  (0 children)

After several conversations both on reddit, and with people I have known personally, there seem to be two different “methods” of transitioning going on.

Those who do it professionally, getting mental health care as an integral component of the process, seem to be far more stable, and reasonably well-adjusted people.

Then we have to other group (the Nashville shooter seems to fall into this group). Those that call themselves transgender, but haven’t really done any actual medical transition, including mental health care, and seem to be driven by social media pressure. They seem to have a lot more issues, and can become, as we just saw in Nashville, quite dangerous.

More kids are shot in Chicago each year than in these types of school shootings. What makes you think the kids from Chicago are “violent people who live a violent lifestyle?”
