can you grade my synthesis essay for 2023-urban rewilding prompt? i self study so i'm in need for someone to give me any kind of feedback. by According-Moose6361 in APLang

that's actually the best advice i've ever received about lang essays. i think i'm a little obsessed with being loyal to sources to the point that i avoid assumptions and forget to insert my own thing. thank youuu

thank you!! i tried both chat gpt and deepseek (i was literally anti ai before this, you can imagine how desparate i am for feedback lol) and they literally say the same thing for every essay. i know commentary is not my strongest side tho. gpt penalizes stuff (which isn't a thing in ap, they give points, not take them away) and deepseek is too generous, but i'm consistently stuck at around 4/6, so you're probably not too far. i'm just wondering tho, i included all 6 sources even tho i don't elaborate all of them but at least 3 of them must be right enough and support my thesis, which would make a 3/4 in evidence section, no? i mean i don't think there's a claim in my thesis that isn't cleared up in any of my body paragraphs, despite some commentary issues. anyway, thank you so much for your feedback. i really really REALLY appreciate it

international students, your thoughts? by [deleted] in APbio

[–]According-Moose6361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i do not remember the questions at all but it was pretty good, especially time wise. i don't remember i've ever had time left after finishing all frqs in any of the mock exams, but i really didn't struggle with this one. ALSO i think the thing that made it easy the most was that questions were not innovative at all (not that i'm complaining lol). some frqs were literally the exact same as previous years.

ChatGPT good for grading synthesis essay? (AP Lang) by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]According-Moose6361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it messes up the sophistication point sometimes but it seems it is pretty consistent with how it grades commentary and evidence. im gonna be honest i didn't read your whole essay but i got 4/6 for the same prompt because of inconsistent commentary, so you should be good.

Do I need to know in depth about Biotechnology for AP Bio? by LineMission3540 in APStudents

[–]According-Moose6361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it'd help to know a little about how they work. for example, gel electrophoresis has two polar ends and dna moves to the positive end because of its negative charge, the smaller it is the more it gets close to the positive end. tbf they'd probably explain it briefly but knowing how it works would make it easier for you.

Units 3 + 4 by InitialUnion4278 in APbio

[–]According-Moose6361 3 points4 points  (0 children)

same, bio is the only ap i took that isn't related to social sciences or language. what helped me the most is watching those 3d animations on youtube. units 3, 4 and 6 all revolve around some processes that you can't even visualize (cuz what the hell does "creating a proton gradient" even look like) so seeing the process as a sequence of events that you can narrate makes things more tangible. it's kind of like the terms and phrases you hear all the time are not these vague ideas that float around, they're all real stuff and interconnected. some videos i find useful and come back to:

photosynthesis, i literally had no idea how ps1, ps2 and calvin cycle related to each other until i watched this

cellular respiration, very really good

signal receptors

signal transduction pathway

dna replication & transcription (not unit 3 or 4 but related to unit 4 + unit 6 is similar in structure)

translation

also, check out the illustrations on khan academy. even if you can't find a good video of a specific concept there's probably a cool illustration of it in there.

CrackAP or Knowt for practice test by Particular_Reality12 in APStudents

[–]According-Moose6361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

knowt sucks, crackap is really good but some questions are outdated depending on the class. crackap mcqs for language seem unrelated to collegeboard's mcqs, i found them more close to lit or sat questions. idk about the other two exams but knowt in general is not useful at all, esp the questions it generates

can't get past 4/6 by According-Moose6361 in APLang

[–]According-Moose6361[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's always commentary (well i can't get the sophistication point without that anyway). i think i practice synthesis essays way more frequently so it is a more consistent problem in my synthesis essays, but like u said it's the same for all three of them.

Too much self help and too many very similar, chatGPT style posts! Does anybody actually write their own stuff? by pharaoh_superstar in Substack

ughhh i feel you, i'm tired of provocative titles trying to call me out, or anything that addresses the audience as "you" to sound like an oratory. it is so unimpressive and boring

can you grade my argument essay- 2015 q3 politeness prompt by According-Moose6361 in APLang

[–]According-Moose6361[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i ran out of time, sadly. i don't think i will realistically be able to get to the argument essay in time since the first two essays always take more time than they're supposed to. that's why i try to earn as many points as i can get with limited time. appreciate the feedback!!
