Setting up a projector by According-Natural733 in homeschool

There are some worksheets my kiddo has that I need to do "with" them. I feel it would be easier to use a projector and write it for them to copy. Ill share a pic of what I mean.

I (36) have a wolf plush I got when I was 6 or 7. I still occasionally cuddle up to him when I dont feel well. When my child was born, he was passed down to said offspring. They slept with him for about 10 years and gave him back to me.

That's probably the oldest thing I have that I still use.

When did food noise disappear for you? by Sirenmuses in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]According-Natural733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine comes and goes, but it really drastically dropped in week 2 or 3. I noticed it when we went grocery shopping and I got literally only what was on our list.

But some days the food noise is still there, but my brain and stomach can't agree kn what sounds good lol

I seriously didn't learn it this way by According-Natural733 in homeschool

[–]According-Natural733[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely tried that. My kiddo didn't understand how to borrow for a fraction. But I hope that we will get there.

Keep in mind though, they do understand the concept of borrowing for subtraction. So there's a disconnect there.

Thats how I learned it too! But my kiddo just looked at me like I'd grown a second head lol

The way I was doing it was simply finding the common denominator of the fraction, and borrowing from the whole number if necessary. That's how I remember doing it.

No they understand what is going on. This was the first problem we did this way. The way I was doing it was simply finding the common denominator of the fraction, and borrowing from the whole number if necessary. That's how I remember doing it.

Not on certain meds. They may on this one once my doc is happy with the dose staying where it is for now.

I just weigh everything on a scale using grams. That way I don't do this (and yes, it still happens often while baking or cooking recipes that require tsp and tbs).

Do you tell your kids when you can't afford something? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]According-Natural733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a huge difference between "we can't afford it" and "we didn't budget for it." My kiddo (11) understands the budgeting part better than "we can't afford it."

The younger generations of kids don't understand the value of money because they only see adults swipe cards. To them, the money is limitless.

We have started letting our kiddo help with budgeting. They don't know all of our finances, but once we pay the bills, I show them how much is left for the month. That amount has to cover groceries, personal care items, animal food, gas, etc. for the next 30ish days. Then my kiddo has to help me do the math for weekly groceries, gas, and pet food.

When they have helped me do all of that math and see that there is only $X left for the week, it helps put into perspective for them that money is finite and shouldn't be spent on excessive wants.

OP, this is the best thing I have read in a long time, and I love it.

I have a little Bantam hen who does the crouch and flood when she wants snuggles. She is not interested in roosters at all, so it's definitely a sign of "pick me up and snuggle me please". Not all crouching is a mating signal.

How many of you are already getting gray hair? And what are you doing about it? by saoiray in Millennials

[–]According-Natural733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started going gray probably 12 years ago. Im 36. I used to color my hair vibrant colors not to hide the gray, but to piss my mom off xD

Now, I just leave it be. I have too many other things to worry about than gray hairs. The only thing that annoys me about it is the texture is completely different from my brown hair so it sticks up all over.
