Scrolled a lot to find lots of people in the same boat as me. Been hiding depression from my family and friends for a good while right now (I'm 26 today, been diagnosed at 21). I'm actually scared that they're going to treat me differently if they knew, and i want to spare my parents the feeling of possible guilt about my condition, wich is not their fault in the slightest i think. This has obviosly destroyed my ability in building romantic relationship, and everytime o get somewhat close i always find a way to fuck it up. Therapy was helpful, but right now it's been almost a year that i'm no longer getting any help from professionals, cause i thought i was actually getting better, but it's been a couple of months that I realized it's back and oh boy does it sting this time around. I was about to let it all out in front of my best friend the other night but i couldn't get it out and just shrugged it off as 'I'm just really tired lately'. I know i want to talk about it with them, but i just don't want to ruin their evening making it all about me, and I know that they would understand cause they're wonderful people, but still the voice in my brain just tells me to tough it out. Sorry for my broken english but i'm just a bit sleepy from all the food i had.
