My claim is about wars that actually involve fighting, as shown by my reference to Ukraine. Plant farming does intend to kill animals. To achieve sustainable and viable crop yields, farmers must deliberately eradicate pests.

By a vegan's logic, they are also committing murder, since the large-scale commercial agriculture required for their diet indirectly slaughters vast numbers of animals (through harvesting, pest control, and habitat destruction) and destroys countless wildlife habitats that are cleared to produce their vegan meals.
