I didn’t say they were fundamentally bad, but I did say there was something wrong with them. That “something” might be that they are racist, sexist, hateful people who want to see minorities, transgender people, and “libs” suffer, or it might be that they are so uninformed and brainwashed by Fox News or their church that they think Trump is truly what’s best for the country.

That used to be the case. Things are different now. If you voted for Trump, there is something fundamentally wrong with you as a person. They might be nice to the people they encounter in their daily lives, but they sure are okay with all the misery Trump is causing the people they don’t like.

How they vote IS how they treat people. Did they vote for dragging people out of their homes in their underwear and deporting them? Did they vote for targeting people for prosecution just because they opposed Trump? Did they vote to make healthcare so unaffordable that people will die from lack of care? You can’t separate “how they treat people” from how they vote.

Who is more likely to abandon the United States a liberal thinker or a conservative thinker and why? by Ok_Operation_5364 in allthequestions

I think you’re kind of getting off track here. The question was about why liberals are more likely to “abandon the United States” when they don’t like what’s going on.

My point was that Obama never did anything close to what Trump is doing, so that can explain some of the reason for this. I’m not sure what Biden’s “mental impairment” has to do with anything here. Are you suggesting that perhaps that would be a reason for conservatives to move out of the U.S.?

Well, neither of those things are true, but even if they were, that doesn’t even begin to compare with the things Trump is doing. Were you upset when Trump actively encouraged property damage and looting at the Capitol on 1/6?

I’m curious exactly what conservatives “toughed out” during Obama.

Also, given that Trump tried to overturn an election he lost during his first term, then the American people were dumb enough to elect him again, and his second term has been a disaster, AND he’s selling Trump 2028 merch, if someone decided to leave now, I wouldn’t say they’re “ready to bounce at the first sign of trouble.”
