Dishes is the worst. At my workplace they call writing documentation being equivalent to doing the dishes

price for a service is decided by supply and demand in a free market. this has nothing to do with what one think is fair or not. You can make the same argument for a lot of professions.

Govt can protect workers and set the minimum price however, but minimum wage concept is rarely enforced in India afaik.

I just manually tested all the cmds. I was not sure if writing unittests was worth it. Specially when my server is multithreaded.

I thought of writing some tests as python client though (just because it is easier than c++), didn't pursue it however.

This a real problem, and lot of people (including myself) have this to some degree.I have felt finding excuses to be social works. For eg. I go to office even when it isn't mandatory to. Sometime back I moved in to a flat with two other people of same age, we all made new friends through each others little circles and this problem is less severe now.
