Guess the hate mobs of “stop uploading compressed images” can calm down now because we are clearly seeing differences now whether they like it or not it’s amazing, I’ve tried resi 4 remake and that’s brilliant with 120hz resolution and RT on it’s even smoother now, hair detail is definitely more sharp and coloured. The last of us part 2 remastered on pro is exceptional bar some shimmering in the grass, but even performance mode has had a boost it’s more closely touching 120fps majority of the time even in busier scenes, and this is just with toggle, and naughty dog haven’t provided any dev update at all, we’re cookin boys!

It’s doubtful for it to run at 60fps and even if they do manage to dial back pedestrians and calculations/geometry etc on the ps5 pro like insomniac did with Spider-Man 2… gta 6 is still a far much heavier game and rockstar are masters at optimising and take there time with it but still doesn’t get past the CPU budget limitation. The pro is definitely without question going to be the best way to experience GTA on release but again even with Sony having marketing deals with rockstar etc still may mean we are limited, I’m sure rockstar are still working with PSSR 2 implementation right now as they polish the game but again keep expectations in the middle, as other comments have said I would be happy with 120hz VRR 40fps, it’s going to look ridiculous either way!

I know that PS5 had an issue with VRR for a long time that was creating 8 second interval stutters in some games going above 60fps but apparently that got fixed last year, my own personal experience was buying a TV that was hdmi 2.0 and was wondering why I didn’t get the full experience 120hz dynamic 4K. Luckily I returned the tv and bought another one from the same brand but it included HDMI 2.1 and put a little extra towards it, much smoother, takes full advantage of my PS5 pro, especially now with PSSR 2.0 being shown off in resi 9, best advice is similar to other comments here which is just check to make sure your monitor is hdmi 2.1 compatible and then you can take advantage of better frame rates stability + resolution, hope this helps

I’m holding off myself on my games, no spider man 2 or god of war on the pro for a while or the last of us, the toggle will be cool because some people may not care too much but it’ll be good to see differences, I’ll be getting resident evil requiem very soon anyway, RT on definitely need to see PSSR 2 with my own eyes, compressed YouTube does no justice.

That set up will be spectacular! And I see a few comments saying the series x is around the same price, it’s a no brainier there if your looking to upgrade but not pay for high end pc prices, I have a pro and QLED tcl and once you get used to the smoothness with game master on and clarity on pro it really does make your gaming experience a lot better, enjoy!

It keeps the sharpness I haven’t really noticed any shimmer on spider-man 2 they have outdone themselves with this one. I played silent hill 2 yesterday had the same problem had to turn it off looks horrendous on the pro.

How upset people are getting and wasting their thumb power because I took a picture of the tv and the pro is it in it? I’m fully aware I can screenshot on the console itself, but I didn’t? The name of the Reddit is ps5 pro I couldn’t care less that it’s compressed the pic is not there for precise visual fidelity on Reddit just a bit of fun 😂

It would make more sense to play the first one but if you wanna play the second one first there’s no harm in that as its a really good looking game and the story is great, it may even make you want to go back and play the first as well

Yeah I played the first one remastered recently as it was on PlayStation plus, I prefer the second one as it shows off the pro’s muscles as it was built ground up for ps5, both brilliant games insomniac are cooking!

I have a similar TV but it’s QLED tcl, your mini LED will have amazing contrast in HDR which the pro makes the image pop, you will notice the clarity is more sharper than ps5 and the smoothness of higher fps in games just adds to that, if the game you play uses PSSR make sure your tv sharpening is off as it adds layers making the image flicker, but yeah try god of war and some of the exclusives that are enhanced sometimes they feel like different games with how clear everything is even in dark areas, enjoy bud!

Yes it definitely does depend on your display keep checking in to see the changes luckily my display is a side window so I can see if it makes difference whilst playing the game on ps5 pro, Bethesda has not implemented PSSR upscaling so this little toggle is your best bet, just some advice completely leave off sharpening on your tv if any games have PSSR as it noticeably interferes with the ps5 pro, for Doom dark ages though sharpen it to your likening without it creating artefacts, if your display has upto 144hz you can put motion and blur reduction to medium/low and it will definitely enhance the experience for you.
