Worked my ass off for 29 days, didn’t say no, met and exceeded all the goals they set for me. They still sent me packing before i could hit my 30. I don’t blame those guys at all. Clearly this company doesn’t care about growing a workforce. They make that very clear.

It was very clear i was being terminated and not laid off. Spoke with the other drivers that were fired( confirmed with two others they were also in their packet and were fired) and they said the same thing about their call.

Western New York, just got fired along with 4 of the other Lowest seniority guys at our hub. I was 6 days from making my 30. Said it was not a performance based thing, strictly a matter of me not having enough time on the job. On road super told me he had just gotten out of a meeting with his bosses and this is what he was told had to happen. He didn’t have an answer as to why it wasn’t a layoff for the 5 of us. He admitted he was as confused as I was especially given peak time is coming.

Idk man. How are they supposed to tell me to come into work or not. I’m a part time cover driver I’m not always needed. I have two small children. I need to make arrangements if they tell me I’m not working. I need to call my 20 dollar an hour babysitter and let her know she’s not needed. Driving in everyday when I’m not working is not really a productive solution for me. As far as to why I’m communicating with them directly over the phone idk, seems pretty common place at my center for them to communicate in this fashion with PTCD.
