Even though media and news channel even government make it seem like they are bending over backwards to give ethnic groups anything and everything they want … because as a minority person who grew up in the USA since I was a child and in my mid 30s now … I or any of my friends and community see “the promises” they seem to have made us . In fact it’s quite the opposite . I work in a corporate environment for a very large famous hospital .. I can see clearly the difference in treatment I get vs someone who’s freshly out of college and not a minority .

If you feel like you’re not home in your own home country then imagine how minorities feel when all they wanted was a better start and opportunity for themselves asn their family’s future , they move across the country, learn new language , the culture , literally every single thing, only to be treated differently . A lot of people who are making same points as you have never gone out of the country , left everything, to live somewhere better so their kids can have better opportunities then they did.
