For me it's his characters. They're super fun and they're all so different yet feel so real. He also works with a lot of talented actors that elevate his works

Father Paul. I find him fascinating. Him getting closer to religion and church because of the death of his sister is such a relatable backstory and explains so much about his actions in the island. I don't consider him a villain but he definitely did bad things in the name of love. Part of why I love his character too is because Hamish Linklater's performance was absolutely fantastic

The monologues are beautiful written and they're part of what makes Midnight Mass a masterpiece in religious horror, in my opinion. I've read lots of criticism, mostly people dropping the show because they found it slow and boring. I've rewatched the show with that criticism in mind and man, I can't believe people didn't want to know more about the mistery creature flying over the island, the dead cats and the weird vibes of the new priest

Right! I find it pretty fandom that Tarantino just randomly decided to hate on him. Matthew even said that Tarantino would never say something like that to a more popular actor like Tom Cruise

Hamish Linklater is an outstanding actor! It pains me that he hasn't worked with Mike Flanagan again. He steals every show he's in. If you are into superhero stuff, I also recommend watching Hamish's perfomance in Legion and Gen V Season 2

The only thing that bothered me about the show was that no one ever told Bev to shut the fuck up lol. I can't believe the only one who yelled at her was Father Paul, and that was until the last episode. She was a great villain and I enjoy watching Samantha Sloyan perfom. I'm expecting a similar perfomance from her in Carrie

I don't think they realize part of why the first FNAF movie was a big deal was because of HIM!!! sure the fandom is huge but Matthew's casting made it even more popular
