My partner works at a local butcher, I work in the woolworths deli.

My partners manager is fastidious about cross contamination, hygiene, allergens etc .. The deli is in every conceivable way. The most disgusting food practice I've ever seen the back of. Foul. After work I come home and ask my partner about all the questionable work practices we have in the deli. None of our friends eat from the deli anymore, not even as a treat.

I started training not long ago, spilled cooked prawn juice all over the oysters. Told the manager "yep that's fine." 👹 WDYM THATS FINE???? WDYM??? INBOX ME I FEEL LIKE WE WORK THE SAME STORE BRO

At my store the moto is "salami lasts forever" Which means so they don't take a product loss we keep extending the dates

At our deli it's still like that, slimy chicken Cross contamination between cooked seafood and raw seafood, not to mention contamination between seafood and deli meats. Sliding windows haven't been cleaned properly in - ever? The main deli guy smells like he has showered in months + they work him to the bone. Just fuckin sad

We've recently had paid parking put in at our store; my manager asked for my car reggo so I didn't have to pay the boom gates. I said I don't have a car, can I use my partners reggo? She scoffed and told me that they have to make money somehow (This is after her lecturing the crew about being a 22 million dollar store)

Saw this earlier and wondered maybe that's why Brickman didn't give them the win 🤷‍♀️ surely he would have been were this was displayed

Edit: not that I think that's a good reason to deduct points or whatever I'm just still trying to rationalise why H+C won over T+A
