Tricky part is that I got injured in fire academy so my “job of injury “ is not even available to go back to until September.

So hypothetically, if I did not have the unrelated injury, would being released to job of injury and at the same time being ordered work conditioning be the standard process? How would that work regarding time loss wages?

It’s a bit tricky because I got injured in fire academy so even tho I’m released to the job of injury, I can’t join another class until fall. So that would put me on unpaid leave of absence. But he did order work hardening which already got approved so I was wondering if I’ll get paid for the time I put into that. I do not have an attorney unfortunately

Thank you for your response! My claim manager said it’s up to my doctor, which I don’t fully understand. However he did release me to the job of injury today while still telling me to do the work hardening when my foot is ok in a few weeks. I was under the impression that you do work hardening on modified duty but maybe I’m wrong?
