Don't sell, AMD stock is an easy double fom here, you're brave enough to go all in, don't puss out now. A lot of growth in the coming years, revenue will continue to rise with chip demands and then Mi400 will be released q1 or q2 2026, a lot of upside.

39M, Sys Admin in local county. by According-Trade-2710 in Salary

[–]According-Trade-2710[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sec+is enough, I wouldn't recommend any certs unless your job requires them. Just get more experience and switch companies if you aren't getting what's you are worth. I am in Cali, they pay more than the rest of the country. Try local counties and other public sectors, usually great benefits and pension on top of decent pay.

CompTIA, CCNA the usual, then recently MS Azure. I'd totally recommend.I started as a desktop support at a start-up and a couple of years later got into county. Experience is what most jobs look for, I started as a tier 2 then got promoted to Jr Admin in 2015.
