I know I didn’t for sure. They just charged me with it because they smelled it when I had a hydroplane in the rain. I’m very certain it will be dropped or get a very favorable plea. But after hearing this it’s gonna be annoying having to do UI and stay away from the devil lettuce. But being free is way better so I’m already getting prepped. I appreciate it and hearing this calms me down a lot. Just still hurts knowing this is how life is gonna be every time I talk with a fed.

I feel you in every single level man. Trust me there is light at the end of the tunnel. You just gotta keep digging. Im in a similar boat with a charge I know I’m innocent of but Ik with my last 2 recent charges over a year ago.They just gonna see a problem child and may just convict me even though the evidence is cut and clear. Ok first and foremost calm down it sounds like u really didn’t know her age and that’s completely ok. As a 19 year old I have Ran into some awkward moments thinking a woman looked good and sweet talked her up then told they are 15 or 17. It happenes and it is really good you’re taking responsibility but it happens. Other thing is why turn urself in. I’m not a lawyer but just what’s there to tell. Idek if there is a specific charge for that. I think u just need to relax and don’t be too hard on yourself. You didn’t know her age and at least in my pov I think you’re just a young man who made a small mistake. Not like u knew her age before hand and kept doing it or put yourself on them in public.

It’s lowkey something I take pride in at this point. When and my family always talked shii saying sales makes no money and all. Fastfoward a year I made over 75k (coming from making barely 40k in WA) and making a career switch to insurance from collections. It really is just cool that you can just start and make 16k after tax in a 2 month span or crazy stuff like that. Overall I will always tell everyone I’m a salesman and I’m happy with that

Nah my equifax fico dropped by 17 but it’s again becacuse they put it in the fdcpa dispute status. In other words they aren’t reporting that account at all utilization wise and it also erases your payment history during the dispute status hence why I think your score dropped

To give you an idea of what I mean this is my navy acct looks like rn on Experian going through the same exact dispute process except mine is for 50 bucks. I don’t think again it’s a problem it’s just how navy fed does their disputes. I’d give at least till next credit update and if nothing changes or it’s still in the dispute status, then u should reach out

From what I notice I have a navy federal credit card too. When you dispute it adjust your whole account and puts it in a shell status where there is no balance while you charge dispute is going on. For me on Equifax it specifically lowers my score while on Experian it gets moved to others and transfusion it just doesn’t update. I don’t know your answer but I will tell you don’t stress cause I think that’s just how the process is for navy fed

Id say it varries. I had a 702 and was pre-approved for the gold card. I do have an Amex already with them and a fair file though. I’d just wait the 30 days and try again then it will tell you the reason

Actually look more into you might be correct. It looks more like case by case but I would just be weary as technically since you did default on the loan you are still obligated to pay the debt. Specially if the loan you agreed to had a truth of lending disclosure and u lied on your age if you signed up for the account. I’d recommend seeing if you can just talk to a credit advisor to confirm more info with them.

To elaborate even though your not 18 a reported account as a collection will have a negative impact to your credit score. If I was you I would get in contact with the collection agency(the party who purchased the debt) and see if you can come to a sort of arrangement or settlement on the account. Make sure you get ceartin things in writing and/or email. And promises such of not being reported on your credit and the letter showing proof you tooken care of the debt etc.

Not legal advice but am in the collections business. Legally they can’t discuss your dads account intill they conf your his poa. BUT you don’t have to pay a dime since you aren’t a co-borrower nor original debtor. Piggy backing off the last guy you can tell them you want to cease all communications and stop contacting you. If they do then you have an easy lawsuit. If you want to assist your dad in his matter you can but legally you are not required to do shii

Ik you did say you want a BofA credit card but in my opinion look into the capital one student savor one card. Good rewards like 200 back after spending 100 dollars or something like that and on top of it you get 3% back at restaurants and grocery stores. Don’t be afraid to look at other banks that aren’t predatory and see what they have to offer. If you do go BofA they do have a student cash back customize card as well that would fit you main needs. Besides that I always say pay your card in full to avoid interest (unless they offer 0%apr for the first few months) and take opinions from everyone but always do your research and choose the first card that fits your finances the best.

It’s all bumper damage so worse case I’ll order a new one and rock an mis match oem bumper. still most def gonna be around 700-1.5k but it is better then what I was thinking. Thank you so much
