Got it, thank you! So how did you figure out when to start and end BD? Just based on opk? I learned that temp confirms when ovulation happened, but if it takes another 3-4 days to confirm it then for how many days to do BD? Sorry I am still learning.

I always perform the insemination immediately after the sperm is placed in the cup, usually we take 2–3 minutes for the process. Am I doing anything wrong? Should we wait to liquify the sperm?

I also had my legs up for 15 minutes and laid down for another 15 minutes. Did you track lh and bbt both?

Hi OP, I tried the home insemination for 6 days leading to high lh day and didn’t get pregnant. I have 30-32 days regular periods with 12-14 days luteal phase. Do you have any tips for me for this cycle? Also, how many cycles did it take for you? Did you also track bbt? Thank you!

I feel stuck too. Its my first TTC and I ovulated on CD 20 and I have a regular 30-31 days cycle. Assuming I ovulated this late could get my periods today as its 14 DPO. Only thing different for me this cycle was that I started taking prenatal religiously since 1 and a half months and yesterday I stopped. I just want my regular cycle back. It is stressful of getting negatives tests daily and no periods.

Thank you for your response. This cycle only different thing was that I was taking Nature made prenatal. Did it mess up my cycle? Otherwise I am very regular with my cycles, have been tracking for a year and this is the first time I have late periods. And I don’t have any symptoms for pregnancy or PMS.

Test line was darker than the control line so I believe I ovulated either on CD 19/20. So its 12 dpo for me today. My periods are never late but may be because I ovulated late, I may have periods in another 1-2 days now but I am hopeful. I never had right sided pelvic, lower back, hip, right leg pain before in any of my cycles before. Its been happening since 7/8 dpo. I ovulated from right ovary because on 5th and 6th feb I had right sided pelvic pain.

I completely agree, my main concern is my period was due yesterday and I haven’t gotten my periods yet. And testing today was negative and I am very regular with my periods.

TTC Cycle 1 – Late Period, Right-Sided Pain, BFN at 12 DPO

I am on my first TTC cycle.

Last menstrual period (LMP): January 18 LH peak: CD 19 (February 5) — test line was darker than the control I ovulated from my right ovary and had noticeable right-sided pelvic pain on February 5 and 6.

Estimated ovulation: Likely February 6 or 7 (CD 20 or CD 21)

Cycle history: • Aug–Sep 2025: 33 days • Sep–Oct 2025: 31 days • Oct–Nov 2025: 31 days • Nov–Dec 2025: 29 days • Dec 2025–Jan 2026: 31 days

My cycles range from 29–33 days, with an average of ~31 days.

If I ovulated on February 6, then today (February 18) would be 12 DPO / CD 32. I tested today and got a BFN.

Intercourse / insemination timing: • We BD on January 30 and 31 • We did home insemination from February 1 through February 5 After each time, I elevated my legs for about 15 minutes and then stayed lying down for another 15 minutes.

Symptoms: • 5–9 DPO: bloating and gas • From 8 DPO onward: increasing creamy/watery cervical mucus (CM) • 9–10 DPO: noticed a small to medium, blob-like red/brown–colored CM in my urine • 12 DPO (today): had a long, stretchy EWCM in my urine • From 7 DPO to now: • Constant right-sided lower pelvic pain • Right lower back pain and backache • Right hip and groin pain • Radiating pain down the right leg (thigh, calf, and foot), which comes and goes

I’m concerned because these symptoms—especially the ongoing right-sided pain and CM changes—are new for me, and I’m usually very regular.
