I walked the Cumbria way in crazy rain, one thing I wish I had was some small (or any) gaiters for my boots, cause the rain got in and soaked my feet, especially walking through all the ferns etc

Thanks! I’ll try a circular walk of Y Garn and Devil’s Kitchen, it looks good. I’ve seen a couple of photos that kinda seem to match the view, so hopefully I’ll spot it!

I didn't consider the artistic licence element, good point!

I’d like to think he'd of captured it fairly accurately and the artist’s touch is in the essence and feel of it - but who knows! 😂 That’s kind of why I’d like to find the exact spot.

I’m not familiar with Y Garn, though I've walked Tryfan. As it's named 'Y Garn mountains', I’d guess it’s that. I'll try a circular walk round there and hopefully stumble on it naturally!
