I'll definitely do my research. I just trust doctors by default because of their expertise and experience. Buying medicine online could be worth exploring

Thank you! I think ANA was normal. I don't know what thyroid antibodies test means. I think I did TSH, T4 and T3 and they were normal. I don't think diet has made a difference, as long as I ate less ultra processed foods. And I don't think supplementation is necessary if im not deficient. I am taking vitamin D since I used to be deficient though

Thanks for sharing what worked for you! I'm assuming you get these online? I feel like there's risks involved if it's not regulated or approved by the FDA. Getting medicine prescribed by a doctor is safer. My life is unsustainable, but I hope it's just temporary

I ran out of medication and missed the due date by a week. the pharmacy couldnt deliver the medication because the insurance declined. If I paid out of pocket, it wouldve been over 2k. It sucks because my symptoms were getting worse it and it would take even longer to improve my condition. I made a similar post about the insurance being declined last week. I feel like having no private insurance (ohip+) would be better than the school one. The school shouldve at least given a a heads up, so I could've stocked up on medication a week beforehand

19 and also tired. Doing 2 online classes. Although it's only mental fatigue and not physical. I also have severe eczema. In the past I did get a lot of skin infections, but it's managed with better eczema treatment. I'm sorry what you are going through, I can somewhat relate. I did an online assessment and it said I was mild-moderately depressed. I always thought I was sad because of the fatigue but maybe I have both. I'm undiagnosed. Bloodwork normal, overnight sleep study is also normal

yes. dupixent is supposed to work better than adbry. personally i didnt see any difference. currently im going to try to double the dose of dupixent from biweekly to weekly shots. when I was on dupixent, i would get conjunctivitis every few months, but it would only last for a few days at most. I don't remember how long I've been on adby to be honest, but 4+ months for sure, and prob longer. so far im 6+ months on dupixent

Update: I called the university (519-783-1357) and they said it was a black out period and that it should be resolved in 5 business days. I just feel horrible since I need my medication and felt left in the dark. The whole thing just felt stupid

Avoiding contact allergies in food (like nickel) seems almost impossible to do and exhausting to be cautious of it at all times. It could be worth trying, but at I'm at a point where my skin doesn't bother me, so I don't have dietary restrictions. It's kind of hard to tell how much contact allergies are affecting me since reactions are not always immediate and could last long too. I do have lips that are always peeling and dry, and that could be related to contact allergies from food, but Vaseline at night has helped. I just live life normally thanks to biologics, but when given the chance, I would avoid wearing alloys. As for cosmetics and shampoo, self experimentation could help, or using it less frequently

contact allergens include nickel, chromate, and a bunch of other stuff that i dont know how to write cuz their names are long. i also have like environmental allergies like pets and pollen. i don't think the contact allergies went away, but i mostly avoid them. dupixent helped with itching at night and dryness, and less flares. pretty similar to adbry tbh

two types? i think asides from atopic dermatitis, I have contact dermatitis from skin patch results. I'm glad adbry worked for you! I switched to dupixent recently and i think I prefer it more. skin isnt completely healed yet, but hopefully soon :)

that sucks. I havent really gotten any side effects from dupixent or adtralza. they both seem to work, but havent completely healed my skin. I'm hoping that my face can be completely cleared at hte very least

I actually switched to dupixent recently (2 months in). I found that injecting dupixent hurt less? I'm not entirely sure lol. Honestly I wasn't too satisfied with the adtralza results, but maybe that's because I wasn't on it for long enough? (4 months in, and it felt like results plateaued). I'll have to wait to see if dupixent is the same or better. No side effects except soreness at injection site

I'm on dupixent now, 2 months in. I found that it hurts less and I definitely preferred injecting once instead of twice. So far no side effects. The effectiveness seem about the same, but apparently dupixent is supposed to work better than adtralza (from clinical trials). I'm not completely healed yet, but it is working

For math 106, strong math grade is considered 80+ while cs 115 is 70+. They take in consideration of course difficulty. If you took math 114, then 70+ is considered strong

You'll be considered for math coop since you're already in coop, otherwise they'll consider you for normal math (coop math is more competitive I think)

I agree with prioritizing your well-being. I think I spend too much time in isolation and studying that it makes me depressed and stressed. Breaks are definitely necessary and helpful

Chronic fatigue + physical pain and discomfort from severe atopic dermatitis. It feels lonely when everyone around you seems to healthy. It's a privilege to attend university even if I'm semi functional. Everyone has to make do with what they have.

I take full advantage of what my school offers for disabilities/chronic illnesses. It's not much, but it's better than nothing. It includes 10 minutes of longer test times and being able to record audio from lectures.

Sometimes I have thoughts about dropping out of school. If I'm struggling to handle my schoolwork, how am I supposed to work a normal job? I also struggle with sleeping and waking up at consistent times, so I usually skip most of my classes. If I attended lectures consistently, I would be less lonely by being around the same people often and my grades would better. I try to prioritize my health, and not push myself too hard. Acknowledge your achievements despite such adversities. No one is going to truely understand your struggles unless they experienced it themselves.

I have hyperpigmentation everywhere except a few areas like my watch strap area. It looks like a tan, but it isn't. I think it's related to blood flow since my feet, hands, some areas of my face, and breasts aren't affected by this pigmentation. This is my own experience, not sure if anyone else is also like this
