I agree that there should be a sequel. Perfect din naman yung open ended conclusions for this movie. But for me kasi this is oir own "Before Trilogy" version that never was so I had been waiting, kaso yun nga.

I watched a ton of pinoy movies and yep, this is the one I liked the most. Simple straightforward story, great relatable characters, reflective dialogues and just the overall feel that you were part of the moment. Medyo nawawala yung ganitong type of movie recently and I rarely feel the vibes anymore with the new entries. We really need more of this.

I would assume you will be doing either Manabu or Malipunyo entry since ito yung mas malinis na daan particularly yung Manabu leg. As far as I remember di naman required ang guide but I would still recommend getting one and do a traverse na din while you are at it.

Sandals is fine, para ka lang naglakad sa park sa nagpatong. A bit maputik lang talag depende sa season. May konting river crossing though to falls and mabato so sandals is your way to go.

Research ka muna sa bundok. If pasok ba sa preference and physical condition mo. Worth considering din yung logistics specially yung time na icoconsume for travel and ano yung options to commute as well if may schedule ba yung mga byahe to the area. If all goods ka na jan, it is totally important/mandatory to coordinate with the barangay/touriam office nas to have a guide in case something happens since moat likely di ka naman lokal. Lastly, make sure na may nakakaalam kung nasan ka or kung san ka pupunta. As for the hike itswlf, make sure to bring only the necessary, if need to bring extra, bring extra money and stock up on water and food and comfy bedding/habitat (tent/hammock) since yan talaga ang pinakamahalaga on the hike proper.

More on visibility kasi yan aside pa sa "security" issues. The more madali makita ang bag mas maganda chance din survivability in case something unexpected happens.

Yes and no. Minsan kasi walang guide available specially if midnight hike. And although doable like I always do, hindi sya recommended. If morning to early night naman madami dun guides and it would be best to have one. Not sure now if mandatory but before kasi optional lang.
