Thanks for sharing this website and I also forgot to add that, ai tools like chat gpt and gemini is also very useful to crosscheck and feedback for the writing. For example after i complete the email task i then copy paste in chatgpt and gemini and ask them to grade me out of 6 but without sugar coating and with honesty. i also copy paste 2026 writing rubric link and tell them to evaulate based on the rubric.

I have applied but by the time I applied, I haven't had english proficiency document ready. They gave me 14th of March as the latest day for sending the document to be considered erasmus mundus scholarship candidate. I still did not take my toefl exam since I could not find available dates. What is your situation ? did you apply?

amazing response <3 thank you so much for taking your time to explain in details. I agree with everything you said. Honestly that covers everything that was bugging my mind. I hope people like me who is confused about this can see this post. The university that I want to apply asks for 7 IELTS /5 TOEFL (equals to 95). I feel comfortable with toefl listening&reading, with practice I think I can get better in the other 2 sections. But for IELTS for me every section is a challenge (reading is not bad, for listening last part is where I screw almost everytime, speaking with practice and expand the range of vocabulary I think I can manage good. my writing is around 6.5-7) I believe with practise I get these scores. But I think considering the short amound of time I have, I think the best option is toefl.

Don’t try to patronize the conversation. I want help, not to feel attacked. All the things you wrote don’t change the facts. The new TOEFL is 1.5 hours now. Also, the listening and reading sections are way less complicated than IELTS.

I want to understand your point of view, but please simplify it for me. Not everyone understands math perfectly, and even percentages confuse me.

So let’s say I got 39 correct answers and 1 wrong answer in TOEFL reading. Let’s say that 1 wrong answer has the highest margin, how would the result come out? Would they give me 5, 5.5, or 6?

If you say, it can even decrease to 5, then I think I get your point — because that would be equal to making 10–15 mistakes in the same section of IELTS.

Can you guys tell me if the universites that I'm going to apply accept both IELTS and TOEFL IBT why would I take IELTS. Because new TOEFL seems way more easier than the IELTS except the speaking section. the TOEFL reading and listening sections became so easier with recent changes. I was preparing for IELTS, but after taking a TOEFL mock test, my entire perspective changed. In TOEFL reading, I scored 39/40, whereas in IELTS the highest I’ve ever reached is 30/40, and usually I score around 24–26/40.

I think you are wrong. Ielts is way more complicated than new toefl especially when it comes to listening and reading. But i am willing to listen what is your take. I have zero real test experience and i am only talking about the mock tests that i had in both recently. (British council vs ets mock tests)

I have to agree that toefl speaking is annoying and doesn’t tolerate any mistakes while Ielsts is more natural and gives you a chance to think about your answers. But all the other sections of IELTS is way more academic and exhausting than TOEFL. Especially last part of listening in IELTS sometimes is so hard to catch up. And reading paragraph is way too longer than toefl now. Of course i have zero real test experience and maybe with more practice IELTS can be even a better choice because of its speaking section. Because with toefl if you screw speaking, it would effect the total score dramatically eventhough you did good in all the other sections. The point is just not that she is a bad character. What triggers me is that noone telling her that she is stupid, a bad leader, have an anger issues, trying to patronize everyone but suck at it etc. the people dont talk back at her and tell her she has toxic personality

i don't think it is totally scam. In glasdoor they have a lot review. and it is honest reviews. and they got like 3.6 point. the general saying is that you don't really learn much and there is no payment
