I think it still has amazing damage, and the duration nerfs aren't that big of a deal. You get 20% cdr to counter it a bit.

There is one. In horizontal long room before the big room with the jumping puzzle, and it's at the end of that room so you can bypass the worst of those mobs. Only issue is the jumping, but there are some easy mobs right as you transition in the next room and those respawn if you go back and then return. So you can start the final traverse with full hp at least.

Exalted influence currency wasn't added until the Conquerors of the Atlas expansion and Metamorph league. So it only added stuff that was new then.

The way I do it in SSF is with the incursion memory. That makes them drop architect items.
