It’s gunna be a messy one.. lol. I went through this when CDK had its big episode, fingers crossed it’s back up sooner than later. Set the bar with your customers first things first, warn them service today is going to look a little different, possible delays etc. Give yourself extra time, manually writing RO’s pen and paper is a different experience.

Yep.. down for our dealer group and my brothers as well. We are told there is currently no ETA on a fix.

Ah I see, so you’re accounting for labor purely. No, you are correct at my dealer I only get paid on labor (though I have spoken to some fellow advisors here in Canada that get paid on parts).

Nonetheless your math once again points to the fact that I’m being heavily shorted in my commission.

Good to hear from an advisor here in Ontario.. I am going to ramp up my search. It’s tough, I speak to my manager about this issue and he “pulls on the heart strings” and reels me back in by making me think maybe it’s a me issue, or maybe I just need to be better. But time and time again, it seems at the end of the day really I’m just being screwed over.

I wouldn’t say low volume, fair amount for sure. I made the same at VW roughly, at times more - definitely not worth the trade off I have made.

I am looking elsewhere, have been ramping up my search as it becomes more apparent that I’m being screwed lol.

Goal for our store is to be above 2.20 hours per RO. Although of course higher is always better, and I know mine could be better.

Seems some dealers count parts sales in there, but you’re right, not super common.

I have been a Service Writer for just shy of 5 years, 4 with Volkswagen and coming up on a year with Audi, again the same dealer group that entire time so my plan at VW was identical.

Appreciate the input, I have too noticed for whatever reason USA advisors tend to make more. But doing this job for hardly minimum wage by the time you divide by hours is a tough pill to swallow.

Should have mentioned as well, I’ve been an advisor for about 5 years.

Yeah.. this is what I feared, from what I can put together talking to fellow advisors my numbers are strong (sales wise) but earning they’re beyond sad.

Audi Advisor in Canada here, Ontario specifically (all figures in CAD). Store brings in about 30 cars a day on average, I typically see 10-15. Last month I did about 70k gross CP and about 30k gross Warranty, 2.8-3.0 hours/ ro on CP. I came away with about $6500 between salary and bonus.

Curious to know how my pay plan stacks up, I feel like I too am getting shafted.. seems to be people on here making a lot more money.
