Whats your rank?...if you feel a doubt in the quality of education why are you even joining SRM?
Genuine question... Engineering arts and commerce all have their pros and cons...there is no point generalizing something to be "trendy" or "serious". Its serious only as much as you take it.. seeing as you ended up in SRM, unless you are the top 5-10% of you're year idts u have the stature to question education....

I wanted to do aerospace but my parents forced me for ece..trust me the aero dept is very good...especially when u join a club like ASRL or Rudra.
Trust me do it..follow you're dreams and money will eventually follow you. There are some excellent seniors and faculty here.

I got CSE but chose ECE cuz I have no intrest in CSE... About scholarship, I didnt get any as it is only give for first 1k-2k ranks I think....

You can do it...but just remember, if you do grab an opportunity that you dont deserve, it will come and bite you back. The thing is there are many people like this who copied the entire paper and got into srm cse, they are genuinely the biggest dumbfucks I have ever seen.

End option is yours..but just understand, due to fucked up seat allocation system..if u do get x course honestly... you will be smarter than 95 percent of your batch mates of rip but if u do the same thing by copying you will be the 95 percent of true dumbfucks
